Click here (http://www.anti-flag.com) to listen to a new Anti-Flag (http://www.anti-flag.com) song titled "The Press Corpse." The track is taken from the band's forthcoming album (and major label debut), For Blood and Empire, which is due out on March 21st via RCA records.

This song is pretty good. So they sold out... doesn't mean the music is bad. I can't wait for this album.

its quite the improvement from the last CD.
I think they have always wanted to get big and have money and a major label, there's nothing wrong or anti-punk about that, I think they stick to their roots, though it will never be another Underground Network or Die For the Government

Who cares if they sold out, it's still great music. I don't see why people give a shit that people sell out-anyway.

anti-flag makes good music. i dont care if people think it is selling out to get your message out to a bigger audience. Their are bands that are bigger sellouts who change who they are for the label, and it seems as though anti-flag is sticking too their roots, and that is fine by me.
But this is just my opinion.

i really want to dislike this band because of how douchey they come across, but when they write songs this good, they make it really hard

what a lot of people haven't realized, is this isn't the typical "sellout" label attatched to a band when they sign to a major label, but the fact that anti-flag time and again screams about being anti-label and anti-corporation and THEN sign to a major label. that kind of hypocrisy doesn't sit well with people.

that said. i'm not going to lie, it's an energetic, fun song. although it's very strange to hear having heard the band's less recent material (Underground Network and before)

As for that silly "punk is dead" statement, I'm going to leave that to Mr. Henry Rollins in a quotation from '81: "Punk rock still exist, but I'm not interested in that...The fans killed it. They wanted it to stay the same, and that ended our interest in it. Now they got what they deserved: a lot of rubbish basically." This statement remains highly true and relevant with the surplus of scenes today.

good thing

and dont' they even say on their last cd in one of the live songs before they play how they get labeled anti-establishment/corporation & they said something along the lines of "we get labeled anti-establishment/corporation, but we just want to be told the truth" or soemthing along those lines?
