kevin smith says clerks 2 will go into theatres unrated.
i hope that is not true, because that will prevent me from seeing it, and therefore will ruin my life.
because, doesn't that mean you can't see it if you're under 17?
if was an r, i could just pay some homeless guy to buy me tickets. but not if its slapped with the NC17.
little kids shouldnt watch those kind of movies anyway
society is fucked enough,.
i hope it is unrated.

...and that would be horrible because
a. most 14/15 year olds don't do that already
b. swearing is a sin, and i will therefore suffer eternally in hell.

hahahahaha
a.swearing is NOT a priveledge. this proves you should not be swearing cause you dont get it. and you really shouldnt go out of your way to see movies deemed to "mature" for you. when you turn 18 you dont get a certificate saying you can swear now.

well there was no way you could have seen it there. and the DVD says R. i looked at it just to be sure.
and yea i am saying that. it's rated R for a reason.... regardless if society has been desensitized the world to feel less about that kind of stuff.

ummmm i didnt disagree with that. it does kinda look like that though. but i meant "you def coould not have seen it in the theaters regardless and on DVD now it is R" both of which are rated too high for you to be seeing.
and that doesnt change a thing or add anything to your arguement that you should be able to see the movie

well for some reason yea fuck is not bleeped but *** is.... honestly if they were gonna edit anything i figured theyd censor fuck and shit....
maybe your parents arent doing a great job at controlling what you hear/see and such......
which really tons of parents across america have no clue what happens to their kids. i retract my statement about your parents not doing a good job. the way things are today there is no way to control it. and that fact is really sad. i work with middle school kids grades 6-8 and they are as terrible as i was junior year of high school. its really really sad.

my parents are very protective. but that doesn't prevent me from going to school and talking to kids my age.
i'm not learning anything new from clerks anyway.
and kids are being exposed to shit at a younger age. if i see clerks now, it will be like going to school one day. its not a big deal anymore.
EDIT: i didn't know what teabagging was, but i asked all my friends and ALL of them knew, and it was horribly embarrassing.

the fact all the bad stuff is common knowledge is terrible.
things that used to have a meaning or have a reason to not be said/done now mean nothing. thatrs sad.
so in school you guys talk about how many girls you fucked? or how many girls a guy sucked off? if not your school isnt like clerks.

you dont deserve to see the movie, simply becuase you don't grasp the concept of "unrated"
so lets give you a lesson in movie ratings.
R--> Only allowed in under 17 if you have parental supervision
NC-17---> not allowed in under 17. Period.
Unrated-->anyone.
why may you ask that anyone is allowed in?
because the director decided not to have his movie reviewed by the MPAA and not to be rated, so he could avoid the inevitable NC-17 rating he would get.
the only problem with an unrated movie is if you live in a small town, or semi-small town, chances are you will have to go to a big city (New York, Chcago...) to see it, being as lots of theaters won't carry it due to its "rating".
but yeah, unrated means, NO RATING, thus, NO RESTRICTIONS.

I agree with Greg on the whole thing. Society today is despicable. Thank you for also pointing out the defintion of unrated for Mr. CLERKS IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE, maybe he'll get a clue.........someday.

dude, THATS WHAT I THOUGHT AT FIRST
then i talked to all my other friends who are dying to see clerks 2 (i don't care if you say it will suck, i'm going in with an open mind. i will always have faith in the smith)
and they said we won't be able to get in, since at blockbuster unrated=nc17.
i am very happy now.
