The crowd was there for Panic! which just shows you how big they have gotten. And the full band version of the fever is really good.

yeah you could def. tell that the crowd was there for panic, it was weird. i didn't really like their live show too much. it was just average.

the fever was also done really well. it was a good show

Not to rain on everyones parade but i think The Fever is a horrible song. It's so repeated and annoying i saw them play it live last Thursday and i was happy when it was over. I love The Academy Is... though don't get me wrong, i just really dislike this song.

and the crowd was there for Panic! at the Toronto show aswell.

i'm going to the 360 show on the 9th, and i find it ridiculous that panic! is on the ticket stub. TAI... is headlinging it should just say "The Academy is...", not "The Academy Is... Panic! at the Disco".

unless i'm wrong and p!@td is co-headlining, correct me if i am.

Ya their lead singer was trying way to hard..."Who here likes sex" i mean please half the kids here are 14. Pre-Recording all the synth parts to your songs is lame too. They weren't horrible though. The place seemed like it really emptied out after they played.

yeah when he was like who here is 18, there was a very small response. i was towards the back and i thought i was at day care there was just so many young kids. after panic the whole pit emptied out, it was really messed up. and they didn't come back. the pre recorded synth parts annoyed me, their whole sound is based on it and then they don't even have it live.

yeah academy is... also said they'd be on warped tour...was this already known?

and i thought the rock n roll version of the fever was fun. not as good as their other stuff.

and yes, panic! were the ones who sold out these shows. half the crowd left after they finished. if only acceptance had played after, then i could have enjoyed their set even more.

Yep i agree with you on everything. I was towards the back as well, and kept hearing little kids saying how much they hatted acceptance and wanted Panic! to take the stage. I expected that though. Oh and if you mosh to Hellogoodbye you are a fucking loser.

I submitted this. The Academy put on a great show as always. The full band version of "The Fever" is amazing. Panic! put on a decent show. The computer was wayyy too loud, which really hurt their performance.

last night was a lot of fun. i really liked "the fever" too.

panic was great, people give them too much shit. i saw them play back in november and it was terribly mediocre. they got much better - they looked comfortable and confident onstage this time.

good! i saw them at the beginning of september and i thought they were terrible. i had this fear of brent too... i was so scared to go to their merch table, i wanted to meet them but i didnt want to meet him. luckily he wasnt there. im not scared of him anymore though
at first i was a little mad that panic was going to be on this tour... but now im ok. ive been hearing that they have been doing better live.
i still think acceptance and hgb should go before them, but oh well... theyve sold the most cds.

i feel bad for tai
im sure they notice, if it is as everyone describes, that most people arent there for them.

Agreed. I was at the Boston show last night, and The Fever was just really, really bad. It's a horrible title, and very unimpressive lyric wise.

I like being able to buy the actual cd & see the artwork & all. it's a whole experience for me.

it was also a little bit werid that the lead singer of The Academy Is..., was wearning a red thong...he bent over during a song, and it was clearly evident to everyone there.....he gets werider and wierder every second

all the bands played very well, but was an awful crowd.
everyone was there for panic!
i'm glad they all left the floor when academy went on.
the band was awesome, it was my first time seeing them and i was very pleased.
i almost left the show after acceptance because of how awful the people there were.

but musicwise, sick show.

i actually thought the crowd wasn't bad overall. i've come to terms with the fact that kids will be pretty stupid during panic! and hellogoodbye, so i expected some lame shit (and wasn't disappointed). maybe it's because so many kids left before the academy is..., but i was really impressed that i didn't encounter any assholes during thier set. it made an awesome show that much better.

oh, and the band coming out to "the final countdown" made my night.

i was at this show too. it was pretty much the first show i had no intention of going into the crowd for. i would have felt weird and old.

but. the girl i was with knew the drummer from acceptance so we talked to him for a little while. he had some interesting stuff to say. originally they were supposed to play 3rd when the tour was first put together, but then because of patd's popularity, they were moved back. acceptance is still getting more money than patd for the tour though. he also threw in that patd could have dropped off and did a headlining tour making 10 grand a night, but instead chose to stay on this one and make around 700 a night. he also said that the academy is... was getting kind of bummed out that kids were leaving before them, which i definately noticed.

i personally like panic at the disco's album more that the academy is...'s but as for live performance, it's no match. patd is pretty sloppy and generally don't look happy as their playing. the looks on the guitarist and bassist's face are so dry and they hardly move around. the singer's voice sounds pretty strained also, but their drummer's fuckin ridiculous, he looks like he plays so sloppy but he's so good.

the academy is... is amazing live. that's basically all i can say. they've impressed me so much the two times i've seen them.

absolution is one of their best songs ever. and i doubt it will ever be played live again.
