Thank you sir! That split is one of my favorite things ever. Definitely check them out though. If you're into alt.country, you'd dig it. (RIYL Uncle Tupelo, Old 97's, Whiskeytown, Golden Smog, etc).

That's cool, you might end up liking 'em. Worth a shot.

I still don't think Jay's been able to recreate what he was with Uncle Tupelo. Most of the stuff he's been involved in since has been pretty much hit or miss with no consistance.

The new album is sounding really good so far, so I'd definitely recommend picking it up once it's released. Trace is a great album too but I reckon you already knew that. Haha.

Questionable output after Trace but the last two full-lengths have been decent.

Without question Trace is their peak. Its really the only pre-'hiatus' album I like all the way through. Second favorite is Okemah and the Melody of Riot, but it sounds an alot like Farrar's solo stuff.

Listening to their cover of Open All Night and then Trace. :-)

Nah. With them I only have Trace, Okemah, and Straightaways.

Gotcha. I think the new one's pretty solid. Songs like "Cocaine and Ashes" are great.

Thanks. I'll have to keep that in mind when I'm a bit less poor. Haha I just noticed you're from Shelbyville! :-D

Cool, I think you'll like it. And yeah, I'm from Shelbyville haha. Not exactly a fan of living here but it's alright. There's worse places in Indiana.

Been on a bit of a Farrar kick today. American Central Dust isn't groundbreaking or anything but I really enjoy it.

I only have Trace and Straightaways, and both are okay. I like Trace better, but nothing about those albums make me want to explore the rest of their discography.
