Awesome show tonight. Anthony is doing a 3 show solo tour across Florida, and today kicked it off at Crowbar in Ybor City. Travis Adams of Inkwell played first, but I got there after his set. Andy Jackson of Hot Rod Circuit was pretty awesome. I was never much of a HRC fan, but there were a few people there who were and he played whatever songs they wanted him to play. It was really pretty cool, and he was very enjoyable, even for someone who wasn't a fan of the original band. Anthony Raneri was last and definitely put on an awesome show. It was pretty crazy to walk into the bar and see him running the merch table, but that's what he was doing when we showed up. I'm terrible with placing a number to crowds, but I'd say there were well under 100 people there. It was a very small place and wasn't close to being overcrowded. Anthony's set was as follows (complete and in order):

Good Fucking Bye (Alkaline Trio)
Don't Call Me Peanut
Sorrow (Bad Religion)
Landing Feet First
Blame It on Bad Luck
The Ghost of St. Valentines
New Song (he said it doesn't even have a name yet, and tonight was the 2nd time he's played it)
They Looked Like Strong Hands
Duality
Boxcar (Jawbreaker)
I and I
I Will Follow You Into the Dark (Death Cab For Cutie)
Megan (Smoking Popes)

Wow, he added two songs - one being The Ghost of St. Valentines and two being the new song. What ya know, finally.

I'm so bummed I missed this. I'm vacationing in Florida about a half hour away from Tampa so I was going to try to make it out, but I just didn't have the time. Sounds awesome though.

I'm heading over for that show too, so I'm hoping it'll be a pretty similar experience, because it was definitely a great time.

Tonight in Orlando was the same set, only instead of Boxcar he played, "Just To Make You Smile" by Tim McGraw. Also, he told a pretty cool story about "Landing Feet First." He said he wrote the song for his wedding and played/sang the song for his wife at the wedding. The other guys were there and told him they should record the song for their next album, which they did, and his wife wasn't too happy about that. Also some drunk girl got on stage and kept insisting that he play, "A Synonym for Acquiesce" and she wouldn't leave until the crowd started booing her. Pretty amusing stuff. Also, he apparently named the New Song between Friday and tonight as, "The Ballad of Bill the Saint."

The drunk girl lol if you didn't notice her before that she was sitting on the stage and she definetly leaned back at one point and fell off, but yea you could tell Anthony was getting annoyed but he didn't wanna be a dick, and where was security during her being on stage? crazyness

Yeah, I didn't notice that but I noticed that she was wearing a dress and apparently forgot because I looked over there once and saw a lot more than I bargained for. I would have loved to hear that song, but if he can't play it he can't play it, but I guess a lot of times when you're wasted you don't let simple things like that get in your way from trying to make it happen, haha.
