Red Car Wire's new EP From the Start comes out June 30th, if you missed it. Amazon MP3 accidentally had it up on their site for a while, it's since been taken down from the mix up. I bought it at that time, and it's pretty good. It's not exactly like their old stuff, but it's got a real good feel to it. It's a lot less produced, especially when it comes to Evan's vocals, than Let's Never Get Older, partly because of the lack of label on this one. It's definitely a good thing for everyone who thought the last was too produced. It features the new members(Steve(bass), Brandon and Thomas(Guitar)), and lots of parts are sung by Brandon, and he's got a pretty good voice. Brandon has also been taking over Daveys parts on the older songs live. His voice kind of reminds me of a more pop punk sound(if you understand what that means) compared to that of Evan.

It is a great EP, but it does feel like somethings missing without Davey and Garrett. The awesome harmonies aren't as present as in songs like Timing Just Isn't Your Thing, but that's obviously going to happen without Davey. You can tell the change from before, but it's still a great EP, and check them out if they're on your Warped Tour date. Definitely go buy it when it comes out June 30th(or if you HAVE TO *i'm not suggesting this* but there are leaks of it on Mediafire).

I did a very quick sampling of this and I must say, it's complete garbage. While Let's Never Get Older wasn't great, it was still enjoyable. I may have to give this a second listen, but I'm not that inclined to do so.

I like it, especially how it's less produced than Let's Never Get Older. It has tracks that are somewhat slower, but it's still enjoyable and stuck in my head. But I'd say listen to the full tracks a few times through. I wasn't sure at first, but it really grew on me after the second time I listened.

Thought I would bump the thread seeing as the EP is now out.

Go buy it on Amazon!

Yea I like it. I got to talk to them for a while at Warped yesterday and they seem to be really into it. Josh said how it's really where their heart was and it's what they wanted to do and everything.

It's different than their past stuff, but I still really like it.
