My band is looking for a new singer... we just finished recording our 5 song EP with some people that do a lot of Disney stuff and our vocalist left to pursue a different career, leaving us in a very difficult situation where we need to find a new singer as soon as possible and re-record the vocals before the album can be released. Our music is very pop/r&b/country influenced with distorted guitars, our influences are everything from The Cab, Every Avenue, Boys Like Girls, The Maine, to Justin Timberlake, Neyo, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers. We are fairly well known and have played a lot of big shows including the Vans Warped Tour, and just recently played a show with Taking Back Sunday as the headlining act. Please take note that we are a rock band technically, but the vocals in our songs are very complex so if you have not taken vocal lessons and/or can not sing a Justin Timberlake song and pull off all the runs/trills, you are probably not good enough to try out. Also, if you have a busy schedule or anything other than singing/music/touring planned as a career, this is not for you - as we have not done a large tour yet, but have played a lot away from home and will be planning a much bigger tour after our album is released and will be doing this regularly for the next X amount of years as a serious career. You are not required to play any instruments or write vocal melodies or lyrics, just to have a kick ass voice and a lot of dedication to what you do.
Ages 18-24 only, and even if you are 23 or 24 or whatever you still need to look like you are younger than that.
Male only - No offense to female singers, but our old vocalist was a male and switching now would change the dynamic of the band and the sound completely.
You must have transportation, able to pitch for band expenses, and have a fun, yet professional attitude. If you do not have in-ear monitors you will need to get some. NO drugs, egos, or flakes.
If you live in the Los Angeles area that is great... If not, please have some kind of plan for what you would do as far as money and a place to live if you were to come here, as none of us can support somebody.
If all of this interests you, please respond to this with a studio track or a video of you singing a song similar to one of the artists i mentioned... and if i like it we can set up a meeting.
