An update on an earlier post regarding A Wilhelm Scream (http://www.awilhelmscream.net) losing bassist Curtiss Lopez: Nick Diener, aka "Nick Danger," guitarist and vocalist of The Swellers (http://www.theswellers.com) (Search and Rescue Records (http://www.snrrecords.com)) will join A Wilhelm Scream on-stage tonight at Detroit's Saint Andrews Hall as a fill-in bassist. At the time being, Diener is confirmed for just tonight's show, but he may fill in on future tour dates as well. A Wilhelm Scream is currently on tour (http://www.awilhelmscream.com/tour.php) with Less Than Jake. The Swellers' sophomore release, The Beginning of the End Again, is out now on Search and Rescue Records.

The Swellers are totally underrated and underrepresented on sites like AP ...

nick did a great job last night. i feel bad for rita. that chick's mom got invited on stage during LTJ's set. really funny.

Nick will be doing the rest of the Less Than Jake tour, with the exception of the Friday and Saturday shows, in which a guy named Derrick will be filling in.

The Swellers are phenomenal and you are going to hear a lot more about them in the coming months, believe me. Their EP is the best EP i've ever heard, and I can't wait for another full length.
