Dude, I used to be so obsessed with the KH series. xD Over the years I have calmed down about it, but I still get all "OMGZ" inside when I notice something KH related, that isn't cosplayers. I do not get excited for the cosplayers.

I realized last year that Expert on 1 and whatever the hardest mode on 2 is called aren't that difficult.

i love this game. but in kingdom hearts 2, i got stuck on the part where you have to fight demyx the second time. the third time he'll bring out his dancer nobodies and you have to beat 10 of them in 10 seconds, i'll have the last one but i can't get rid of it for some reason. i've done that part literally fifty times and still can't get rid of him :( i took a break and let my roommate play dot.hack for the past four days but i'm getting back to it today.

I still haven't played the PS2 remake of CoM, but I am pumped for the new portable games. This series is pretty fun, but could use improvements all around. A better combo system, a bit more depth in the RPG stuff here and there as well as a tighter story is what I'm really hoping to see in the third game, which won't be made for another 2-4 years maybe. :(

You can watch clips from youtube, it looks like pretty much a portable KH game. Not some shitty combat system like CoM.

I say its a good game for people who want to dig really deep into the plot, but for just the playthrough type people, maybe not important for them.

And I was thinking about buying CoM for the PS2 but I hated the battle system so much in the GBA version, I doubt they improved anything. The clips i saw on youtube were pretty bad ass though, especially marluxia's battle.

Like TheFury said, they didnt implement any scavenger hunt side quests. But i think they made up for it in mini-games and the record system. Filling jiminys journal is almost a game in itself.

Nah, I bought KH1 when it first came out and was hooked. But after KH2 it was difficult to play it again. I want to try though, I started a new game a while back and I want to continue playing it.

Yes they do. I want to get a DSi sometime in the near future. Maybe for Christmas, because I want to play 358/2 Days. I read the story on Wikipedia and I think I might have to play the game to fully understand it (it seemed really wierd).

But I'm totally stoked for BBS, too. That's the main reason why I bought my PSP, plus a lot of other awesome games that are out for it.

Yeah the DS does, but the DSi doesnt, so make sure you know which one you're getting. If you get a DSi you have to rebuy all your non DS games.


Edit: Or you can download those games and put them on your memory card, i dont know if they've released a hack for it yet or not. But it's legal if you own the games.

Love the late title card in KHII. You play for like three hours before the title screen shows up. The game is telling you "Yeah, biatch, that was just the INTRO!!"

Secret ending is out subbed too. Not what I was expecting. It's different to the other secret endings and doesn't really hint as much at the next game. Looks like it'll be a sequel to KH2 though, not sure if it'll be KH3. It does say Reconnect at the end, which I'm guessing means all the stories will tie together so it could be KH3. Hopefully there's a Final Mix that will shed some more light on it and have a cool FMV to watch. I also saw Vanitas' face. Crazy. There was a rumor of a PS3 KH: Another Dive being made too. Nomura also has an unannounced title for this year.

Not to be a downer, but if you haven't started on a game that will easily take 2-4 years (since it's an RPG), I highly doubt it will be out on these consoles unless Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo choose not to make anymore consoles.

So there you go. Clearly Nomura was planning on doing a game for this long ago, only now there's a third scenario:

Aqua's time in the Realm of Darkness.

There we have it. Three different scenarios for BBS V2. That would be the best way to sum up his past intentions.

And since this and 3D are the last games before KH3, this game will be Nomura's chance to wrap up everything he wants told.

but you forget, the core games always alluded to other events that without these side games, we would still be confused as fuck. without the side games, its for the most part a simple story that doesnt delve into anything too interesting. but because nomura has always had so much crazy stuff in these games that reference something we have no idea about, the need for these side games is necessary.

while i admit some of the side games have sucked, they have always shed a part of the story that we didnt know and made the whole lore of KH just that more interesting.

nah i dont see it as complaining, i see it as legit talk about where the hell is KH3. like that post i posted from KHI, it finally looks like all the holes in the plots we havent gotten answers for are finally about to be answered. i honestly think 3DS, BBSv2 will be the last games we get before KH3. there might be one more, but unless its a really good game i would rather not have another recoded.

as for other worlds, i would also love a jungle book and toy story. i was actually thinking toy story would be a perfect fit the other day. just listing disney worlds that they could do, this isnt a list of what i want.

It was cool I took my memory card over to my friends house today because his PS2 still works and popped in KH2.

And Versus looks awesome and Normura even said that's gonna be a glimpse of how fast paced battles will be in KH3. He said it goes 3DS then Versus and then 3 is gonna be even more fast paced and refined. Super fucking stoked.

Also 3DS is confirmed to be at E3. This years E3 is gonna be awesome.

EDIT: I also hope 3 is more gritty. Probably no the best word to use, but I mean like graphics and atmosphere of Versus 13. More serious, characters have aged even a little bit more. Would be awesome if the series matured like it's audience has. Not saying loosing everything that made it KH.

I definitely agree. I'd love to see this take place a good while after KH2 ended, with Sora and Riku grown up. And since this is supposedly the last game of the "Xehanort Saga", I'd love for it to be a lot more serious and a lot darker in terms of story.

All we know as of now about KH3 is that it definitely will happen, it will star Sora, it will be bridged to by KH:DDD (for the 3DS), and that it will only start development once FF: Versus is finished.

it would be good to see a kingdom hearts where the characters age at least a little bit to show how long they've been on their journey you know. i hope they make everything more interactive with it as well. i almost got past the sparseness in KH2 but it was too noticeable for me cause i like to interact with the environment of a game sometimes. they needed to put the trinity marks in there. it woulda been much more fun and entertaining. coulda made Xemnas the final battle even harder and introduced the guy behind all the events of the Kingdom Hearts series in 2 as well to have made it more interesting than it was. the final battle was a little difficult but when you got the rhythm for the fight then you got it made. an enemy that could change tactics woulda been more of a challenge you know.

Days focused a lot on the plot, but the gameplay was no fun. The pacing was very choppy and the gameplay felt incredibly awkward. It's sad, seeing as all the other games had such fun combat.

Re:Coded had some interesting ideas for combat, but it grew very repetitive eventually. After about four worlds, you just want to get it over with, because the plot does absolutely nothing to keep you interested. Sometimes, the story doesn't even have much to do with how you're playing anymore.

No news on KH3. Literally gonna be news on 3DS then probably the HD remasters for next year. Which will be it's 10th anniversary then maybe if we are lucky (which I highly doubt) we will get news on KH3. They probably won't even start on that until Versus is released and that's been in production for 6 years now? And we still know absolutely shit about it.

Still a long ass ways off which sucks, but at least it's finally coming. 3DS is supposed to lead into 3. For those who've played BBS this is Sora's and Riku's Mark of Mastery exam. Read this if you're interested.
