Well Bush is about to address the nation (in about 3 minutes now).. and CNN is already reporting explosions and anti-aircraft fire over Baghdad... that means it's starting.

So now is the time to stop everyone's bickering about why we should/shouldnt go to war. It's a fact, we are at war. Therefore, we should all be americans now and show your support for our armed services that are fighting, no matter whether you think we should or shouldnt. For those of you who believe in a higher being, prayers for our soldiers would be very appreciated.

North Korea has a lot to lose, if they piss off China, the North Koreans are finished, they lose all support from one of the few communist countries that still remain, and threaten to have china's army, russia's army and america's army take over their country, and more than likely overthrow the communists and install a democracy like in south korea. its not as if they could nuke america and get away with it, or nuke anyone for that matter. the only reason they would feel like they have nothing to lose is that the UN security council is now a joke and any resolution they pass will be laughed at by the N. Koreans since they know their is no threat of enforcement.

Feeling safe has nothing to do with what protesters think. Most protesters, at least in america, are very uninformed and are doing it because its the cool thing to do. As for europe, protest there are so big because people have nothing else to do, unemployeement is like 12% in germany and very close to that in france. So dont judge world opinion by protesters. N. Korean leaders do have tvs, radios and are able to see whats going on in the world. See what you dont understand is that they average NK has no say in the gov. or its military actions, so it makes no difference whether the citizens are informed the corrupt leadership is.

I agree with ya on the first one, that really could happen, but most likely wont.

As for your second one, you lost all credit. We already gave the "great UN" power to set up a post war government, as for oil this war will only strengthen OPEC in that respect.

i agree with you on most everything you said, except that killing a few people to save many, many more is better than doing nothing.

and this won't set a precedent, we are enforcing 17 UN resolutions. if anything, it will set the precedent that if you don't follow UN resolutions you will face consequences.

if we did nothing to stop saddam from having WMD's we would be increasing the chance that our kids would be faced with having those WMD's used on them.

Well that certainly clears alot of things up, but you could have left the whole flag burning thing out of it cause thats just not cool.

What I said didnt have anything to do with killing or be killed. If people are fighting the soldiers and they get in the way, then there will be some iraqi casualties. Saddam Hussein is the problem and he needs to be removed. Period. His whole family of sucessors under him are sicker than he is, and the whole bad plant needs to be removed.

Also, just because we did this attack without full UN backing doesnt mean in the future it will cause more trouble. 35 or so countries support us, thats a pretty good number to me. And if we start now removing the terrorists and terrorist links ( Saddam hussein HAS met with OBL, it is not definite that money has changed hands, but they have met), it will ultimately cause less terrorist attacks.

Plus, security is so tight now EVERYWHERE you go, and in the future better technology to prevent terrorists will be developed.
