Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever, followed closely by All Of The Sudden, I Miss Everyone. But really, you can't go wrong with this band.

i've heard some of their stuff a while back, but it never stuck. i'll have to give them another shot. which album's the most recommended for newcomers?

I would say start with The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place. Their The Rescue EP for the Travels in Constants series might be accessible for starting listeners as well.

yeah earth is so epic. I love the newest one Sudden, though, good mix of instruments

The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place is easily my favorite.

However, "Yasmin The Light" is my favorite song by Explosions.
The Rescue is a great album to listen to in the Summer though.

But I must say, after seeing Mono live I like them much more than Explosions in the Sky when it comes to "that" post-rock sound.

Truth. It's spectacular.
Earth is a Cold Dead Place ftw, but as mentioned you really can't go wrong.

I also like your user title. Great band, album, and song. :-)

personally, i think All Of The Sudden I Miss Everyone is the most accessible overall, but The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place has songs like The First Breath After Coma and Your Hand In Mine that you'll just absolutely love

that's the one i'm missing!

I've seen multiple copies at Newbury Comics! Side b of the second LP looks amazing. It's got three different birds etched into it.
