Panic! at the Disco's "Lying is the most fun.." is now available for ringtone download on the T-Mobile Sidekick. The interesting thing is that it says "copyright warner music group." Oh, and Hawthorne Heights' "Saying Sorry" is also available.

The fact you can't upload your own to the sidekick is my only (major) complaint.

i could be wrong, so correct me if i am, but isn't decaydence/fbr distributed and published by WMG? that's probably why.

i no how u feel, i walked into a fire hydren when i was drunk and the sidekick was in my pocket and the screen cracked. im on the 3rd one too

Yea, though I am excited that I can have a fairly decent ringtone on my sidekick for once, it sucks that you can't upload your own. It's a big cup of lame sauce!

I am pretty sure there's more than 1 way to get your own mp3s as ringtones on your sidekick. You should be able to crop up your mp3 the way you want it, save the file, then upload it to some webspace. Enter in the direct URL to the ringtone and it should open it and save it to your phone's drive.

....that'd be absolutely amazing if that worked. I've had to settle for Soul Meets Body and Different, could have bought Work but idk 2 dollars...

Will have to try that.

this fall...

and its copyright to warner music group because WMG has a upstream deal with FBR/Decadence...so once a band hit 50k they are upstreamed... and im sure WMG was smart enough to take 100% of PATD publishing because, they were a no name band with no sales prior to signing... and that doesnt leave you much a a bargining leg...

P!ATD is upstreamed already as is The Academy Is..., FBR is under the WEA Umbrella, which is why Warners has it published. If they were smart they would've got a better lawyer. Trust me... its not impossible to keep 100% of your publishing as a no name band, you'd be surprised what you can use as a barginning leg if you will.

I bought a USB Bluetooth adapter for my computer.
I make my own ringtones and send them to my phone.
If a sidekick can't do that, I laugh.
Say Anything ringtones > all.

The Hiptop/Sidekick 3 will be out "late spring, early summer" of 2006. The only confirmed feature at this point is bluetooth.

meh, i just make all my ringtones. i have 6 gatsbys ringtones, queen, driveshaft, august burns red, coheed, death cab, radiohead, the arrested development theme, dragonforce, neil diamond, darkest hour, johnny cash, etc. i love my razr.

Soft launch is supposed to be April of this year. But I don't think the public will have them until summer from what I've read online.

Atlantic Records will actually be re-releasing A Fever You Can't Sweat Out either at the end of Feb, or beginning of March. (I can't remeber the exact date) As far as I know there will be no difference in the track listing, only the Atlantic logo will appear on the back of the disc.
