This is awesome. I'm seeing them on July 3rd in New Haven CT. If they close with Roosevelt Room, I might go home crying because it was so amazing.

Hey, I'm seeing this tomorrow night! No Gentleman's Pact or Breezy? Lame. Oh well. He still puts on an awesome show.

Nice, long set. Pretty even mix there.

Me too! Should be great. Let's make this the thread for the whole tour. That way check updates and whatnot? Sound good?
I hate how Conor Oberst rarely comes to Dallas. I really wanna see the Mystic Valley Band again; last time, they were amazing. I wish they'd play the original "Eagle on a Pole". I like that one 309482394 times better.

Yeah I do too. I was really bummed Conor didn't do Milk Thistle, but i'm not gonna complain about the 20 songs. They were all amazing and I had a blast.

I don't think he comes to Texas enough at all. I'd really like to see him as well

Very true, a 20 song set is pretty amazing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember him saying how he hates Texas, which is ridiculously lame.

I like closing with Roosevelt Room. One of my favorites on Outer South.

Very true. I don't have anyone to go with, and I'm not sure I have the resources to get there (gas, etc) but I'd kill to see Conor Oberst and Jenny Lewis outdoors on Independence Day. That'd be so awesome.

I didn't end up making the New Haven show unfortunately. No Roosevelt Room? Lame.

Yeah, unfortunately there was no Roosevelt Room. The actual setlist had a "?????" after Hospital. Not sure if they would've played Roosevelt Room if there was more time? Or what. They might have dropped it from the list because of all the drunk assholes who were shouting for it. There were lots of shitheads last night. I felt bad for the openers. But they dealt with it really professionally, and everyone put on an awesome show. I'd definitely see any of those bands again.

Drunk assholes eh? That makes me feel better about missing it lol.

I completely agree with you about the drunk assholes. They were terrible especially during the slower songs.
Was that Maria Taylor onstage with the band during "I don't wanna die in the hospital"???

The NYC show was amazing. I had third row and it was so crowded. I couldn't believe it. I was right in the middle and had great sjpots. Conor was amazing, and Jenny wasn't bad, but I wanted Coor, so I got bored.
He came on with her, too, and it was really good.
The set list was about the same.
It was so great seeing him on the Fourth of July. It felt so festive and great. He played NYC, Gone, Gone, first, too, which was cute. He was really drunk. It was funny, but sad.
