The Spill Canvas (http://www.thespillcanvas.com) boys have had a rough couple of weeks. Last week, while in NJ, the boys had their van broken into and over $14,000 worth of cash and personal belongings were stolen. And as if that's not hard enough, they have been forced to drop the final three shows with Hit the Lights and As Tall As Lions due to throat problems. Singer Nick Thomas is currently having his throat scoped and is doing everything possible to get back into tip-top shape to jump on their tour with Motion City Soundtrack. Despite these difficult road blocks, the boys are keeping in good spirits and are undeterred in their journey to meeting everyone and spreading their infectious brand of rock. Please feel welcomed to send them words of encouragement, and stock up on any merch you may enjoy to help support the boys getting back on solid ground.... Hit the Lights and As Tall As Lions will still be performing the final three shows.
2/9 Columbus, OH - The Basement
2/10 Crown Point, IN - Lake County Fairground
2/11 Springfield, MO - Nu Brew Coffeehouse

yeah i saw him at the space last week or so and he said it was real rough for him to be working through the vocal problems. before he mentioned anything it seemed to be a bit off, but it was a great show none the less. Sucks that he needed to do back to back shows that nite, im sure it didnt help him much.

Get better man!
you guys fucking rock.

Are you sure nightmare of you is playing those dates? as far as i know, they already dropped off the tour.

this sucks, though. i was looking SO forward to the show on saturday.
I'll just (hopefully) have to wait until the 20th to see them in Lawrence with MCS.

Ah you must be right...when I was sent the news, NOY wasn't included, but I added them in there cause I assumed there was just a mistake. Gonna fix that...thanks.

First the Indianapolis show with Gratitude gets canceled and now this. I'm annoyed, but I hope everything is alright with Nick and he gets better soon. I hope they reschedule a show somewhere close in Indiana on a night that I can go. And the ticketing website better be refunding my money like they said they would.

From what I hear, The Working Title is also playing the Crown Point show tomorrow night. I'm kind of bummed that I'm going to be missing them now.

Nick really fought through the sickness for as long as he could. He wasn't feeling good when he was here on Monday.
I hope he gets better really soon.

Such amazing guys.

I'd still go, As Tall As Lions alone are worth it.

2 straight Columbus shows that I've had tickets to see them at have been cancelled, this is getting annoying. At least it wasn't a complete loss tonight, got my $10 refunded and ended up seeing Less Than Jake instead.

its better he cancelled, depending how sick he is/what he had, he could really damage his voice by pushing through it

he talked about this in baltimore, but put on a great show none-the-less.
poor guy.
the stupid girls behind me had to steal his waters off of the stage.
that deserved a dragon-kick to the face.

it really pisses me off when I hear stuff like this. I hate people who steal - they just ruin things.
Best Wishes to Nick and TSC...

Both times they've played in CT he's been sick but still sounds amazing!

I hope he gets better for the MCS tour. that's exactly what this band needs. A few good opening slots on "bigger" name tours. These 150 cap venue headlining tours do shit for them gaining new fans. I was shocked to see they've only sold 28,000 copies of their disc.

The Springfield, MO show is not happening. I just got word.
Whats sad is, no one cared to tell the production company putting on the show, I had to tell them about it when I saw this post. And then, THEY had to get in contact with the bands to figure out if it was true.

I'd still go, As Tall As Lions alone are worth it.
I would too if it wasn't a three hour drive =(

I'm not gonna go three hours to see two bands... one of which I've already seen... that, plus the show is completely cancelled now.
