no, you can say you do not agree with the war, or whatever, but he is asking that you atleast honor the troops that are fighting and giving their lives so that you have those freedoms, and that you do nothing to hurt the war effort since doing so would put american lives at risk. peaceful protests do nothing to hurt the war effort. also, no one wants a repeat of the Vietnam war in that when the soldiers come home they are shunned by the people they were defending.

I agree with savestheglory. Freedom of assembly is a great thing to have, all though I do not excersize mine, I believe it is a fair way to bring attention to your cause. However, war is a different story. People are putting their ass on the line for you and all you do is complain about it. Have some compassion, if you dont support the idea of war, fine, atleast support your troops. I would rather not have to go to war. But 12 years is plenty of time to clean up your act. If you cant do that, then you deserve to die. Not only that, but the countless numbers of rapes and tortures and deaths also come into play. That is why we HAVE to go to war.

Just because the war has started and the troops are now fighting doesn't mean peaceful protests should cease, and the anti-war people should stop talking. ONe of the main reasons I am anti-war is because I have respect for the american soldiers over there, risking their lives for the Bush Administration when they should be going to school, or staying home with their wives, and children, and overall living their lives. I know a girl whose uncle is over there while his pregnant with twins wife is on bed rest. that is shitty. He should be at home, helping his wife through this special time in their lives. Not blowing up things in Iraq. Because I want these people to live, I am anti-war.

the peaceful protest shouldn't cease, but they should be more responsible. every public demonstration and march requires that police are called away from their duty to make sure the protest reamains safe. we are at orange alert, and by drawing the poilce away from their duties increases the risk that american will die. the protester have to think that they may be doing more harm than good.

the police have to be on alert for terrorist attack, they must be ablet to respond to every day emergencies, and if they are babysitting a bunch of "peaceful" protesters, they can't do that job, and innocent people could get hurt. today in boston a bunch of college students from Harvard and MIT decided to march through the streets and tie up traffic through out the city all day. fire trucks and ambulances couldn't get where they needed to go because these protesters were marching. they are endangering everyone in the city so that they can protest. i never said that they shouldn't protest, i said they should be more responsible .

The alert levels have been going back and forth from yellow to orange so often they don't have much meaning any more. It's kinda like the boy who cried wolf. In this case however, with war being recently declaired, it should be taken serously. I have no doubt in my mind a terror attack will be attempted in the next couple monthes

i know for a fact that a year or two ago, the people of Turkey would do anything for you if you were an american, i'm not sure if the war changed that, but as an example, if you were to walk down a dark alley in the middle of the night, and someone stole your wallet or attacked you, every turk on the street would come to your aid. i knew this guy who went to school in turkey, studying to become a diplomat and he said you are safer walking the streets of Ankara, than you are the streets of new york.

1. We don't expect any favors from you. You and your leaders have decided that their interests coencide with the interests of America.
2. Britian is not mini America. They are far more towards the socialist side of things.
