eh...

the nephilim were a sort of fallen angels... God turned his back on them for no reason and they resented him for it... or something along those lines.

they are not people, but they do have free will, just as humans. Thats why Lucifer was able to turn his back on God.

uh, in an essence, yes he did. God is always talking to us. Not in an audible way, in a way only God can trully fathom. Its just a feeling. Also, God is the Creator of everything good, therefore God is good. And Good beings do not turn away from people/angels/beings in need.

Of course God has free will. But for what purpose would he/she/it ever have to turn God's back on us? We were created by Him/She/It, and we can easily be destroyed in an instant. He doesn't need to abandon us, just get rid of us all together.

if god created everything, then how is he "good"? that would mean he created hell, satan, hitler, saddam, osama bin laden, etc., etc....they weren't "good"

this feels weird to be preaching like this for a change. I go to an all-girls catholic school, where most girls are raging conservatives, who preach at my face all day long about abstinence, pro-life, and blah blah blah.

why do parents turn their back on the children they create? they don't need to leave their baby in a dumpster, they could just smother it to death...

I didn't say he created everything. I said God created every body and everything essentially good. But then the first human beings sinned, and from then on we all were tainted with their sin. Bin Laden and Saddam, Hitler, and Satan weren't born evil. They became evil, with their free will. God gave us free will because he wants us to CHOOSE him, instead of coming to his side just because we know no other choice.

because parents have free will, and they arn't all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-understanding like God. They are human and therefore limited. They cannot see into the future, understand why there is life and death, and sadness, and they cannot see that it is all basically trivial. That there lives are like a speck in the existence of the universe. So they make stupid choices like dumping their baby in a dumpster.
