Soo the first single off of Blueprint 3 ("Death of Auto-Tune") came out on iTunes today!

I thought I'd post this, because there's not much about Jay-Z on here, and the song's pretty awesome... I mean, personally I wouldn't mind the death of auto-tune (for now, at least). It's getting way annoying.

If you don't have iTunes or something, go to jay-z.com (http://www.jay-z.com) and check out the song!

That was a single? When I heard it, it came off as more of a mixtape type track.

I love the song. This is what 'classic' sounds like.

Old news, but this track really isn't very good (classic, really?), and it's a lot worse than a lot of the autotune that gets hated on around here.

This song kind of pisses me off. Jay-z hasn't been relevant since 2004, and now he wants to come back, claim he's saving rap, and then diss auto-tune? Whatever, Jay-z. What makes this even more absurd is that Kanye would produce this song, considering he just put out an amazing auto-tune album, which, imo, is better and more unique than anything Jay has done since Hard Knock Life. To quote Nas, "Fuck Jay-z."

No way, American Gangster was easily one of 2007's best albums and he's certainly the elder statesman of the rap industry right now.

I don't listen to much rap, but I'd probably agree with this statement. American Gangster was actually the main album that turned me on to rap. "No Hook," "Blue Magic," and "Hello Brooklyn 2.0" are my jams.

Listen to the Blueprint if you haven't already. Easily my favourite hip-hop album.

I've been meaning to for a while, just haven't gotten to it yet. I have such a big running list of things to check out, lol.
