Oasis is the only band that can be complete assholes and get away with it. As a side note, Sony owns their music and liscenses it out for advertising; hence, they have no say in the matter.

P.S. The best part is while every one calls them assholes, they enjoy it and see it as more of a reason to run their mouths. It's somewhat amusing that our trashing them eggs them on to do it more.

good points man. but i will say this, oasis and the white stripes are both fairly original bands, i dont think oasis needs to slam them. but oasis is a great band, maybe all the people who love Thursday and Brand New will disagree, but people who are more into rock and roll get it. i do think noel is an egotistical guy, but at least he can write a song.

I agree with this statement. Oasis kicks major ass, and I love their new album. If Noel really did allow the song to used for a commercial he's likely to own up to it but I think it's was it record company that probably did it. Sometimes the Gallagher's attitudes about certain things irritate me but I still think they're awesome. Both Liam and Noel are some of my musical heros.
