it's pretty dumb to suggest that a band that is non-mainstream is automatically better than a mainstream one. i'm not suggesting that FOB are the better band, but your reasoning sucks. the reason i think i wouldn't bother comparing these two bands is because i like both for completely different reasons. if you want to compare bands, try two that are similar - it makes much more sense.
