is it the same version that leaked a few weeks ago? because tom said that wasn't the final version. any news on when they will release a song via i tunes yet? i need more of this already. and, this doesn't sound like blink, stop saying it does. if blink ever wrote a song like this we would all be asking if it was really blink. it is the same singer, so of course there will be some similarity, but this is not blink.

didn't he say that he was going to post valkryie missle as the iTunes song. I'm not sure? and this is the version that was leaked a couple weeks ago for the people that didn't know. its okay but nothing that will make our lives change. And come on, this isn't u2 standard it use the word "Yo" in it.

I agree that the drums, especially during the verses, aren't great (I don't mind that they're not fancy, but I think they sound a little too mechanical during the verses), but otherwise this is a damn good song. The U2-ish guitars near the beginning are an incredible touch.

what i said was "it doesnt sound like anything blink couldnt have done...which i am very much right about. Mark Hoppus deffinitly is cappable of writing that bass part, and travis barker couldve made that song disgusting...not to mention hoppus' backup vocals in that bridge wouldve been stellar, so actually if blink wrote that song, it wouldve changed my world, but other than that, its just kinda "eh"

this is just utter crap. seriously, this stuff has no musical credibility at all. any 13-year-old that listens to the radio could have come up with that song, put the millions of hours of production into it, and it would have turned out the same. this is as bad as cold french fries.

yeah, i don't really think it's that great... it sounds like a few songs on their latest "untitled" CD and at some points at the beginning of the vocal section, his voice reminds me of PWT's??? Not that that matters, haha... but it's just not all that he made it out to be

Ummm actually it sounds like a perfect continuation of the Self-Titled album. If they had put another track on that album this could have been it and fit perfectly fine. So saying that people would have been asking if it was really Blink isnt really true at all. Maybe before Self-Titled people would have asked, like they did when they first heard "Feeling This" but this song sounds like what i expected the next blink album to sound like.
And yeah its the same version we've had and I do like it a lot, but it's not a huge change...not that I mind considering there was nothing wrong with the way Blink was heading.

what is with people on this site? why are kids so afraid to believe in something? he is trying to make ROCK AND ROLL, and what most of the people on this site listen to is not ROCK AND ROLL (i.e. thursday, and other indie/emo bullshit bands). tom is trying to make something universal, something that a whole stadium of people can sing along to and believe in. this song is uplifting, sorry if it's not about a girl breaking up with you and then having to cut your wrists and cry over how beautiful she was. so many bands out there today are content with playing average music, in front of small crowds, for their whole lives. don't be afraid of real rock and roll.

Dude this isn't anything different than Blink 182 or Boxcar. And if this site was around when Blink started they would have been one of the most talked about bands on this site. This isn't universal music. Yeah anyone may like it if it was put on MTV just like anyone can like Blink 182, but this isn't Rock and Roll. And second of all, that's a terrible stereotype for the music people listen to on this site. If you're gonna be ignorant about the music listened to here, don't come to this site.

in my opinion, rock and roll died in 1979. and only one band has come close and that is the strokes. they are one of the only bands today to really party hard and really do believe in what they are doing. other than that, rock and roll was killed by the television and and the internet (not to hate on this website). with television and and the internet, rock and roll will never have the mass appeal like it did in the late 60s and 70s and will never be as exciting. with only a few exceptions, nobody tours today like they did back in the day. only a few arena bands tour once every two or three years and charge 60 bucks a fucking ticket. rock and roll is now a business and will never be the same.

i agree with you. although i would throw in Coheed and The Mars Volta to that group. but yea, there is so little actual rock and roll left, it's sad. it's sad when people think good music started with Nirvana. there is so much more out there, but a lot of people have never even given it a chance.

The Darkness are the definition of what he's talking about. they are a derivative of all the glam 80's hair rock bands, and the 80's are when rock and roll started to get so commercial and over produced.

what is with people on this site? why are kids so afraid to believe in something? he is trying to make ROCK AND ROLL, and what most of the people on this site listen to is not ROCK AND ROLL (i.e. thursday, and other indie/emo bullshit bands). tom is trying to make something universal, something that a whole stadium of people can sing along to and believe in. this song is uplifting, sorry if it's not about a girl breaking up with you and then having to cut your wrists and cry over how beautiful she was. so many bands out there today are content with playing average music, in front of small crowds, for their whole lives. don't be afraid of real rock and roll.
p.s. i'm not calling these guys the next Who, Led Zeppelin, or U2, but at least they are trying to do something in the same scope as those bands did.
please don't presume to confine the "rock and roll" term to some personal definition; that is an essentially anti-rockandroll act by setting limitations and boundries. the fact is that this song is boring. listen to the drums, note the song construction, do you hear all the screaming reverb that's trying to hide the limited musicianship of the song, and the plastic production that would eliminate any organic truth. i am aware of the possibility that this song is not endorsed by angels and airwaves and that their version might be quite different. i'm only commenting on this song on the purevolume site. this song is medicore and generic; cotton candy rock at best.

This CD will be better than most ppl are thinking. Atleast we all know it will be better than hawthorne heights, haha, I love bashing that band, basically because they can't write solid music.
