Martin's stand-up is funnier than Chapelle. He should really stick to stoner movies and sketch comedy, because everything he does has already been done better by Pryor, Murphy or Rock.

Demetri Martin, definitely. I think most comedians I've heard are just obnoxious and unfunny (hello, Dane Cook!), but Demetri always makes me laugh.

I'm not real famailiar with most comedians though, so, you know. Whatever. If they're pretty mellow as Demetri is chances are I'll like them.

"Hey, guess what!" I'm not trying to be a dick. I am looking for the appeal. Yes, there are things that I enjoy that many do not but I'm sorry...I really cannot see what people are talking about when they call this guy funny. Britney Spears at least had catchy songs and sexy moves. I enjoyed neither, but I could somewhat see what people liked. With Cook, I just don't see it all. Again, I'm not trying to be a dick. I really just want to know what it is that people like so much.

to answer your question, personally, I like dane cook cause I went to one of his shows, laughed my ass off the entire way through, and then met him afterwards and he was a really cool, chill guy who was nice enough to stand around for 3 hours to meet his fans and sign autographs

um, well he has two comedy cd's that you could probably find online, called "Harmful if Swallowed" and "Retaliation"

in particular, a few of the best tracks are "Hopped up on the Q" on Harmful if Swallowed, and "One Night Stand/DJ Diddles" on Retaliation

i picked mitch hedberg because he was the comedian that really got me interested in stand up comedy and it would feel wrong to not pay homage to him. plus i hate picking the 'other' option on polls.

Right now Daniel Tosh is my favorite comic followed closely by Gary Gulman. I also enjoy Dave Chappelle, Mitch Hedberg, Nick Swardson, Stephen Lynch, Zach Galifanakis, Frank Caliendo, Pablo Francisco, Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, and Bill Cosby.
