First I hated her because her voice is absolutely horrid, then I guess she grew on me thanks to the production, and then I heard Radio 1 play two of her songs live from Glasto and now I hate her again.
So, no, not a fan, haha. Honestly, that sort of off-kilter, imperfect singing style works for some people, but when you're making such glossy pop music, it just does not work at all.
I quite like In For The Kill, though I can't put my finger on why.

I personally like the 80's synth pop influences, and like her voice now. But by the way it's not just one girl, it's a duet, since their is a guy behind most of the music, they work 50/50 :-) I get what you mean though.

Oh yeah, I know there's a guy, but it's just easier to refer to La Roux as "her," you know? Kind of like Goldfrapp, I guess. Yeah, it's a group, but when you think Goldfrapp you think Alison.
The 80s synth-pop influence was what really attracted me at first, but even still I'd rather listen to someone like Little Boots who, IMO, has the whole package.
I still quite like Elly's awesome hair, though.

This is not good at all, very lazy song writing and she is really ugly.
I'll pass.

I much prefer this to Little Boots, but I see your point. =]

In For the Kill sounded really good. I'll have to listen to some of their other material :-)
