View Full Version : Woohoo! "France is on the wrong side"

Watching MSNBC right now, the leader of the Kurdish people of Iraq was just on and he said something to the effect of "We, the people of Iraq, have a much better vantage point than any European leader. I'm sorry to say that France is on the wrong side." (Not exact, its from memory but its got the right point)
This is in response to a question about France being opposed to the USA and Great Britain setting up a post-war government, and he said they, the people of Iraq, would set up what they felt was best.

French are a bunch of stooges. All of these kids at school made up these T-Shirts supporting the French in their descision, saying stuff like "Support our troops kill thousands" or "How many Iraqis for a gallon". However they drive their busted up Cadilac to school that gets 11 miles to the gallon. Can you say hypocrite? On another hypocritical note, another kid wore a pro-war shirt to school. I think this is a very patriotic thing to do, but the French loving kids had a commotion saying he was mocking them and had no right to support a war like that. Does that seem fair?

I don't wan't to kill bush. Thats just ignorant, and ironic. I do however want him out of office. Any ITELEGENT war protester will say more or less the same thing.

Not really. I'd like to see him leave office, but i don;t think there are grounds to impeach him. I'll just have to wait for the next election.

1. Is English your first language? Your post isn't worded very coherently.
2. I believe that what he's saying is that America citizens have a responsiblity to support thier government, leaders, and soldiers in a time of war. It is damaging to the morale of our troops if they're constantly being called baby killers from back home. They're just trying to defend us, after all.
3. please answer with a smart answer i'd like to have a serious discoussion with someone on this damn board for once I don't think you can say that... it's not like you've ever tried to have a serious discussion on these boards with your post count of seven.

well, theres the first insult, thank you for proving my point, you just won me a $5 bet sir, gracias amigo.
second, baby killers?????? where are you getting this from.
third) its not as if america has never used propaganda vs. other countries
and finally....so your saying because i do not have that many posts i can't have a serious conversation??? logic goes out the window
thats like saying since some of your troops have never seen real combat before that they cant participate in war.
and yes, i understand they are highly trained, and probably among the best in what they do in the world, but we can compare that to me, or anyone who hasnt had many posts before. Well i have had conversations and debates before my friend, and im sure anyone else who hasn't posted much has had them too

These kids bitching about the shirt are the perfect example of how hypocritical people can be. They have the right to protest (non-violently) and so does the other fellow who wore the pro-war shirt.

Why would you have to wait tell the next election, you live in canada the election isn't your business. I never said that i hope the Canadian PM leaves office for his lack of support in the war.

Yeah you never try to dictate how other countries are run. Oh yeah, but you do support action to remove a man from office and totally reshape his nation by force.

So you are OK with Saddam being in power? Wow, you're dumber than I thought. Saddam is an aggressive tyrant who is amassing weapons of mass destruction. He has killed hundreds of thousands of people. He is the only ruler with paid rape teams. But I guess that's all ok. We wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, would we?

ELECTIONS was the point here not dictatorship, its one thing to be elected to power that, we have no say in, but when a person FORCEs his way into power (ie NK, IRAQ) we do have a say in it because it poses a danger to us. Also before Saddum steped in IRQA was well on its way to becoming the first democracy in the middle east.
What danger does the US pose to Canada, none, if anything we provide them extreme protection, they know as a nation that no matter what we will back them up, to bad they can return the favor.
Also i support the war because, unlike you, i care about people not just myself. And the millions of Iraqi's that have live under Saddum deserve the freedoms that you and i both have and have known all our lives. Also unlike most people that are against the war jsut because bush is president, i would support it no matter who was president.

how about the SCUD missles he isn't supposed to have that were launched against kuwait? how about the thousands of gallons of VX, Anthrax, Serin, Botulism, and Mustard Gas that has never been accounted for? it is a proven fact that he had these weapons, it is not proven that he no longer does.

Jean Chretien. I don't think thats how its spelled though. we had a femal priminister once, but she only lasted about 6 monthes. We hav elections every 5 years at the latest. They generally occour every 4 though.
