I find a lot of rap annoying, but I can see the music in it. I have some rap CDs, although not many, cuz I really can't listen to many straight through like I can most non-rap. DMX's "Its Dark and Hell is Hot" is, IMO, a great CD and I can listen it straight through, minus a few skits (which I aree, are pointless). Although "Mickey" is funny, if you've ever heard it, you prolly know what I'm talking about. But to say all rap sucks is just not true. So I guess I'm not punk now, right?

Eminem can actually write really good lyrics when he's being serious. But Missy Elliot and 50 Cent are two of the most godawfule things ever. Why God? What have I dont to deserve this punishment!

I think that it's very close-minded to autimatically hate every single rap and R&B artist. I have lots of friends who rap and sing R&B, and they are really talented. I'm just as tired of all the punks who think all rap sux as the rappers who think all punk sucks.

there is some rap i like. old skool hip hop really was the shit. i'd still listen to it. mainstream rap for today isn't that good, but sometimes you can pick out the good stuff. i like jurassic 5 and the roots. i like the beastie boys. i like anything from the 80's and some early 90's stuff.

Ya but he's such a hypocrit. I remember one time e was on some award show (MTV awards?) a few months back and sometime during his performance said something like "Stop the violence" or some anti-violence or some stupid anti-black-on-black crime thing, but then what record label is he on? Hmm. Murder Inc.? Ya. Isn't murder violent? Doesn't he talk about violence in his songs?
