it was. i have a priceless video clip of Morrison here at UW, and the game was on FSN...when Morrison is at the line, you can hear the entire arena literally rocking with chants of "shave your moustache, shave your moustache!" That stuff is funny, good natured, but stuff like Brokeback Mountain is kinda stupid.

Our game last week was against our biggest rival, we've been on the national news several times about how competitive we are with eachother. We decided to chant "Brokeback Bobby" at their best player. The Superintendent of Henrico County was there, so naturally the administration freaked. All of the students got suspened from the next game, the cheerleaders were suspended for "taunting" and "sexual dancing" and our step-team was terminated. It blows.

Now, that's good shit. This Brokeback chant is dumb, it wouldn't phase me. The worst I ever got called by a crowd when I played in HS was "Mullet boy." I guess that dumb farm school has never seen a kid with long hair.

this is tasteless, but here's the summary

...As a freshman at Arizona in 1984, Steve got a call early one morning. His father, president of the American University in Beirut, had been gunned down by a group of Islamic militants who didn't happen to like Americans. That was Kerr's personal 9-11...

While AU was warming up, an ASU group mocked his father's death with such clever chants as "PLO! PLO! Where's your daddy?" He went to the bench and cried, tough kid that he was. He also helped beat ASU that night.

I also remember a UW Basketball game against MSU a few years ago, right after Mateen Cleaves got a DUI, everytime he touched the ball the arena would erupt in "Alco-holic!"
