it's an exciting time...usually there's a real bad year when you lose what they lost last year, but with the new kids playing so well right now it's great. plus, none of them are really the kind that are going to bail early so this will hopefully be the same team for the next 4 years.

Redick is unreal... I hated him as a freshman and sophomore just because I didnt like Duke (UNC fan) and wasnt that impressed because all he did was shoot threes. I never thought he'd turn out to be as good as he is. I think it is pretty clear that he works harder than anybody as he has completely transformed into a pure scorer and not just a great shooter. He also is in better shape than everyone that tries to guard him. I am curious to how good you guys think Redick will be in the pros and about where he will be drafted? I think he is going to be an absolute stud in the pros and would pick him in the top 5. He has potential to go down as the best shooter of all time, and can create his own shot. He is a lot quicker than most people give him credit for and plays pretty good defense just like everybody else at Duke. Those are my thoughts now I want to hear some of your opinions on him.

I know its early to talk about next year, but Duke's bench hasnt done too much this year, and with a good number of starters leaving, will next year's frosh (including one of the H.S. POTY from Illinois, i can't remember his name) step it up for Duke, like UNC's freshman class suprisingly has?

The High School player from Illinois you are talking about is Jon Scheyer. He has been an absolute stud this year in high school and led his team to a state title last year. He actually scored 21 points in 75 seconds in a game this year to nearly lead his team to a comeback win. He isnt considered to be even a top 20 recruit, but I think he will be stud. I really don't like the kid already just because he isnt going to Illinois. (Actually plays for Bruce Weber's brother right now) Kind of seems like he screwed Illinois, but its pretty easy to see why people want to play for Duke. I dont know how good the rest of their recruiting class is, but this kid will probably be something special.
