i hope darko gets a chance, the only downside is that there is already a dominant big man on the team so i wonder how many shots he'll get

i just hope all these analysts stop with the "what if they took bosh/wade/melo etc. instead of darko", the team has been to the championships every year since they have had darko and won once, im sure they are fine with their decision, you cannot say that picking a different player would have made them better, if they take melo, prince is out of the lineup and you miss his defence and clutch scoring, and ask anybody in detroit, but i do not think they would want dwayne wade over rip hamilton (probably the best mid range jump shooter in the league). And what if they take bosh, they may have never traded for Sheed, im willing to make an argument that drafting darko and sitting him was the best thing they could have done for the franchise.

im not a huge Arroyo fan(at all), but this could be good for Orlando. Am i the only one that thinks Detroit made off well too? a first round pick is awesome for a team this good already. Im not knocking Joe Dumars for anything until he actually fucks up. Darko could very well be productive, but was of no use to the Pistons, so they got something for him. something seemigly satisfying.

I agree, but I think in the right environment he can be a good role player and maybe even a 2nd option. We'll see how he does with extended PT in Orlando.

yeah, i see it the same way. call mishandling, or a bust, Darko won't live up to the hype, but it is really exciting to see him probably get some good minutes on the floor.

he will be considered a bust i believe. but i think he can be a 12 and 8 guy for the rest of his career. jamal magloire type numbers, he's got some decent shot blocking ability as well.

I don't even know if he'll get to that point. I hope so. He's still SO young, it's hard to tell. Jermaine O'Neal couldn't do shit until he got out of Portland, so who knows.
