Sad news.... but I think this will spark more attention from the west.

Just been reading about this. The Iranian Government have been blaming the UK and the BBC for post-election unrest, seems that Ahmadinejad is using this to spin propaganda.

Quite, and lets hope there is no failed rescue attempt.

To be fair to Ahmadinejad the British (and US) reportings have been extremely bias, they fail to report on any pro government rallies and all most Western media now a days are just clawing for things to kick off, just look at the G8 (or was it G20) in London a couple of months ago the media were a joke, 24hr coverage waiting for trouble, I saw on the news 10 guys kick in a bank window and storm it and the camera panned out and there were about maybe 100 - 200 journalists and cameramen watching/filming.

That hardly justifies capturing embassy staff now does it. Also, bias doesn't equate incitement to riot.

Yes but it could (and probably does) fuel the riots if that is the image you are seeing every night on the news.

Ahmadinejad does not deserve fairness.
Demanding fairness after you just rigged an election? Pretty ballsy.

That is because pro-government rallies aren't exceptional but the demonstrating by the people of Iran against the elections is.
