Damn, 2007? That's rough. Oddly enough I just started reading through the first edition again today, it's such a damn fine book. It's kinda cool too, because at the time I got the book I didn't know Gatsby or The Academy Is..., and Gatsby's submission is The Badlands, and TAI submitted The Author (credited to The Academy, without the Is).

Wait, so you have to be in a band to submit something?

Ohh, I know. I went through it again just recently for the first time in at least a year.
It's really cool. And I noticed how what Jeff Davis (Boys Night Out) submitted turned out to be some lyrics for Trainwreck.

I just started reading it again a few weeks ago too. I love seeing some submissions that ended up being in songs.
Such a great idea, & if the second's one's even half as good as the first, I'll be getting it.
I also love how they were published exactly how they were submitted. They're not all perfect, there's misspellings, etc. it makes it so much better.

meh what the hell. Maybe something will make it through. If ya'all got a band or just play with yourself... go for it.
