i used to like them. they're only chasing safety is such a good intro to harder music. underoath needs to go back to their roots

This album will be amazing...I'm convinced these guys can do nothing but write great songs.

not going to happen.
I just hope this record is slighty more heavy, even though I know it will be.

i hope they won't. i love how real and open they are with their faith, and how they don't hide their true selves just because people won't like it.

...and i hope you don't hold that against them. that would be a shame. obviously you weren't a big fan of it the first time around, but that is them laying themselves out there. taking pride in your faith is a strong force, and it will show in all that you do. their music will reflect it, even without the words Jesus or God in the lyrics. afterall, they are creating something that represents themselves, not what everyone else wants to hear.

AMEN.

Well of course they're going to write what they want to, there's no way I can stop them. I'm just saying...Tooth and Nail Records is my favorite record label, and I'm an atheist; I only said what I said because it feels weird to sing along to it. I'm not usually one to care about lyrics, so I don't mind any of their lyrics aside from that one word, and I still love their music.

This album is going to be amazing. I heard it is somewhat similar to the bled. but how long are people going to dwell on them going back and playing metal...the guys who wrote that stuff arent even in the band anymore...and tim has made it clear that it isn't going to happen.

Why is it a guilty pleasure?
because if you were a fan of releases of theres like the act of depression..and now hear them..then it is a huge change - you could call them "sellouts"
im a fan of all of their stuff and dont really care though; but i know alot of people think they sold out
