I used to know those guys and be cool with them and then they had a band line-up switch and John Nolan left the band and everything changed.
I saw Adam backstage at Warped tour two years ago and asked him to do an interview for my tv show (he had done them a bunch of times before) and he said "If I do your interview, I'll have to do everyone's. But I'll shake your hand." Such a cocky thing to do.
Of course I wish the best for this album and I'll give it a listen, but I'm not expecting much, especially since they are still riding off (and re-releasing) Tell All Your Friends, which is one of my favorite albums.

1). It has not leaked. I have a watermarked / copy protected advance.

2). This band has matured in so many ways, and they pretty much have redefined themselves. This isn't like Tell All Your Friends, but that's a good thing -- who wants an echo? However, from start to finish (with the exception of one song) it is INTENSE, LOUD, HEAVY, FAST. The title of the album couldn't be anymore appropriate.

I have always loved Fred's writing ever since I first listened to breaking pangaea (If you couldn't tell by my username, ha). And Rubano is a better bassist than Cooper. No disrespect to Cooper, Rubano is just better. So I have never doubted this line up. WYWTB just seems rushed, IMO. And it didn't have that intangible that TAYF had. I think they might hit it with this one. TBS will surprise us all.

Pretty solid OVERALL actually.
I don't expect I'll like this as much however, just based on that little clip I heard from that one track
on one of their webisodes or whatever. But I shouldn't be basing the album on one little clip, I know, but it just didnt tickle my feathers. Hopefully this record turns out to be a golden goose however. I still am into TBS, though admittedly not as much as when John was with them. nevertheless, i'm still rooting for 'em.

And even more when someone gets a "early copy" (usually a month after it actually leaked online anyways) and they all freak out and burn 9 copies for their "frat boys" so they all feel cool.

"Baseball Cards" is a great way to put it (in your later post).

While a band makes most of its money off of merchendise (t-shirts) and shows, it is a very personal thing for a band to realize that most of their CD has been leaked and copied. That sucks, period.

Victory aren't the ones reissuing underOath, Fall Out Boy, Norma Jean, Say Anything, and Mae, to name a few. This is an epidemic. Seriously, if the record companies don't want downloading for the first few months, then they better start releasing some EPs, or some way of using your originally purchased cd to get a discount on the new material. If they keep it up then they won't sell enough CDs the first time around to validate a prestigous "re-issue".
