he is trying so hard to make the Celtics win right now. hes got like 37 with 6:30 left in the 4th and we're still losing to the Lebrons

I love that one Chappelle skit where the guy who is getting stab says "Paul Pierce!"

LeBron is further proving that he isn't clutch at all.
I hope the Celtics pull this one off. Come on.

and yet again the NBA proves that its officials are, bar none, the worst in all professional sports.

this team just needs experience. they got a bunch of talent, it's just raw. they also have an idiot behind the beach who hasnt shown me any kind of philosophy or method. hopefully they keep pierce around because without him, the celtics would just set themselves back some more.

I dunno, they're up there with the NFL officials, those are the worst ever.

the bruins and celtics are two totally different organizations. the bruins aren't interested in the fans or spending money to win, they just want to make a buck. the celts at least want to spend money and contend for a championship, they just can't for several reasons. now if the celts trade their best player away, maybe they can begin to be put on the same level.

that was a very good game, i was impressed with how hard the celts played down the stretch and paul pierce was amazing. (how he fouled out and James didn't was a little strange, but calls were bad on both sides of the ball). the young guys looked good too, especially Gomes and West. Once Pierce fouled out though you knew the game was over, they had no other threat, with wally having a bad knee. It sucks that they lost but it was one of the best games they've played this year. If they had Perk and Al it might have gone a lot differently but all in all, it wasn't a disapointing loss.

yeah, but its different. its hard to explain i guess, to someone outside of boston, but it just is. the Celts have had bad GM's and made poor draft picks but they are trying, where as it seems the bruins don't want to try.

i don't think thats the case anymore. the bruins went out and spent the money, they just didn't have much success doing so, like the Celtics. Neither is any worse right now in my opinion, and the former Celtics ownership wasn't much better than Jacobs. Both teams are in better situations now though as far as committment from the ownership goes.

so. tonight i became a boston celtics fan, or at least a follower. what a hard fought game that they should've won.
mikeford...doug...delonte west has my respect 100% now. the kid had one hell of a game. and pierce, wow. had jefferson and perkins played. i think the celtics could've won this game. if pp sticks around, and these young guys develop over the offseason, get a good pick in the draft, someone who can contribue immiedatley. the c's could be one of the premier teams in the east.

hopefully these kind of efforts dont trick the management into keeping doc around for another year though. they need a new direction in leadership.

i would say the bruins are worse, as they made the claim that after the lock out they would be in the best position out of any team to win the championship, and when the lock out was over they signed no one worthy of winning a championship (except Leech, who is really to old to be the center piece of your defense). Granted the bruins are playing very well right now, but that is almost inspite of their front office, their best player is a 3rd string, 30 year old rookie goalie, and Bergeron and Boyes are playing way beyond expectations. i don't know the bruins have let me down way too many times for me to be too forgiving for them, the celts have never had the expectations that the bruins have so i don't feel let down when they don't do well.

you're giving up on Dickau? (j/k)
i agree that it was an impressive preformance despite the loss. the thing about it is the Celt have lost like 15 or 16 games by 3 points or less, so if they won even half of those they'd be right around 500 and looking at a playoff spot. they play pretty well, but they are still young and it show at the end of close games. its too bad Wally was hurt because once pierce went out they had no one who could score without pierce on the court.

Right, I won't argue with you that the moves were stupid ...but they did spent as much money as they could. The blame now lies more on the shoulders of O Connell than it does Jacobs, although ticket prices are still too high. Anyway, my point is that right now both the Bruins and Celtics are pretty much on equal territory when it comes to having the resources to win, it's just a question of decision making.

yeah i agree, they are pretty equal. before last night i might have said the bruins were showing more upside, but the young guys looked pretty good last night for the C's. should be interesting to see which team pulls themselves out of their respective hole's first.
