Haha..

Taking Back Sunday is so sloppy live. They are very fun (which comes strictly from their songs, not their performance).

They are better now live without John: not as an insult to John, but in the time since every band member has tightened up a lot. TBS's strings (bass and two guitars) are usually solid, but the drumming is often questionable and the vocals (hey, you, Adam) are very sloppy.

I've seen them a lot of times with and without John, and I can say they are getting so much better. But you can't compare them to a band like Thursday who simply performs incredibly live.

Thursday is probably one of the most intense, moving live shows I've ever seen.

But to me, even though they don't sound perfect, TBS is one of my favorite bands to see live, especially in a smaller setting. There's just something about the crowd being so packed, close and swaying back and forth screaming all the lyrics in unison. It's the atmosphere and experience more than anything I suppose.

Hey Jared,

This is John Murnane (SN: One Aware), we met at the Azmara Cafe before the TAI...P!@ show in D.C. Anyway, I performed at The NorVa a solo acoustic set last Friday in Norfolk, VA and it's definitely an amazing venue. I grew up in Virginia Beach and went to shows there all throughout high school and it's got an amazing sound system, it's really nice, & intimate.
