Voices, give it a chance and it'll grow on you.
although playing for keeps is still one of my favorite songs, whatever it's a really cool song

i don't really like any of the LP's, West for Wishing is way better and Fourteen Ballons would kill if it was longer

I tried to listen to Voices on AOL Music and just wasn't blown away. I really like Stories & Alibis, and "If All Else Fails" is a great 'missing you' song.

I think Voices is a more solid album than S&A

Voices, hands down.
Stories has a couple good tracks, but i couldn't listen to it for more than 2 or 3 songs because his voice was just unbearable...
they vastly improved on Voices, even if it does miss slightly more than it hits.

Every song on Voices to me is awesome. I don't know, I can't explain what it does to me... it's just such a step up from S&A and yes, it is a huge grower. I hated it at first and now I am head over heels about it.

I have to say when i first heard voices, I wasnt really into it....I was a way bigger fan of S&A ......but then I started really listening to voices and it might be one of my favorite albums this year thus far.....strong songs include monsters, fiction, my mannequin can dance and surrender
The lead singer's voice is whiny and annoying live. Promise is an awesome song though.

Gotta go with Voices. Stories & Alibies got a bit stagnant after a while. It has some great songs, just doesn't have the staying power. Voices is very different and very great, I love the style. It took a few listens to really get into, but it's just a damn good album.

I chose Voices cause I'm really digging Monsters right now. Though S&A is good too.

I'd have to go with Stories and Alibis.
Although it is also true that Voices does grow on you and have shown much maturity.
However, I don't think it is still as solid as S&A.

Fourteen Ballons would kill if it was longer
truth.
however, if you try to compare fourteen balloons with a track like, say, "goody, like two shoes", you'll realize they're not the same band. they changed so much from s&a to voices, i thought they could probably change their name a third time (since fizzlewink and the getaway didn't last).

Voices is seriously my favorite album of the year. At first, I just thought it was a good album, a little better than S&A, but now that I've listened to it over and over, it sounds amazing. Surrender and Goody, Like Two Shoes probably my favorite songs right now, I can't stop listening to them.
but S&A is winning? alright

their ep is really good... anyone else listen to these guys when they were "The Getaway?" I have some songs from back then.. that version of Promise is really good and they had a great song called Ex Marks the Spot.

Voices is so much more varied than Stories & Alibis which seemed to differ very little from song to song throughout the album... I like the direction Voices headed in rather than sticking to that same emo/screamo formula so many bands have used since Stories & Alibis came out
