Good grades? Bad grades? No grades? East Carolina University WILL approve your application.

Really all they (meaning schools) look at is the semester grade because that is the only thing that shows up on the transcript. Or at least that's how it went when I was applying for college.

Because of shitty grades in high school?

I didn't graduate and had to get my GED and I'm making $15/hr.

i would not worry about it too much. especially if you do well on tests (act, sat)

plus if you did a ton of activites or vounteered that always looks good and makes you look better if you had bad grades

Nah, it's a party school with the exception of their Teaching Fellows program.

Do well on your SAT and you'll be fine. My plan was to go to UH anyways so I didn't try very hard... we have an awesome creative writing program and a decent law school I may go to, so far its all worked out. haha

Nope. I got shitty grades in high school, but am getting better grades in college so I can transfer into the school I really want to go to.

thanks. i did bad in physics and pre-calc/trig this year but I'm generally an honor student so I ended up with a 3.4 average. I was reading on college board's website (the people who make he sats, acts, and AP test) and they said that sat scores help too. I did decent for my first time taking them but anyway, on their website you can check if you're gpa, class rank, sat, and act scores are good enough to get into the colleges you want to. I recommend the site to anyone in high school and wants to go to college.

I was in the bottom 50 of my graduating class grades wise, decided to go to community college for two years, and just finished my first year with 3.5 gpa.

college is a business..if money isn't the issue just apply a bunch of places...you won't get a substantial scholarship most likely if your grades are weak... this approach works better with small private colleges that do not have the volume of applicants that state schools do

i did the same. two years at a community college to knock out the stupid classes. and after two years at my university i have a 3.55. that is the way to go in order to save some cash.

if there isn't room for promotion, then your pretty much stuck with 15/hr the rest of your life. unless you get some type of schooling

"until I get my GED"
That's in the next couple months, and even then, it's only temporary until I get a higher form of education.

Why don't you say that one more time? I don't think we got the point that it's easy.
