going to the nyc show tomorrow night, wanted to see if anyone had sets from the first few nights. also curious if they brought horns and strings out on this tour.
i'm curious as well, i'll be seeing them when they go through minnesota.
From what I heard they are good;I was hoping to win Facebook tickets, I wanted to cover them for my site.

Not going but yes, I'm interested. I made a Fake Problems set list thread from their last tour but no one cared. Hoping this one turns out a little better.

im assuming the songs i couldnt put a name to were from the first full length or the ep and i just didnt know the name, cuz i definintely recognized them im just not that familiar with those albums yet. they had a trumpet, keys, and some extra percussion (tambourine and some bongos/other drums) but no strings. they mentioned casey had a family emergency so he had to leave the tour, not sure which dude that is but im guessing thats what led to the no strings, as they ended up having the regular drummer and one other dude switch off among the drums/keys/extra drums. show was awesome as expected, but they only did 45 minutes and i must admit i was kinda bummed at not seeing them do a full on headlining set. there were 150-200 people for kiss kiss, and then the place cleared out to about 50-75 for fake problems with maybe 15 people who were singing along and stuff. awesome set, i was just hoping for a better crowd and longer set i guess, and expected more new stuff (especially bummed level with the devil and alligator assassinator), but whatever. it was awesome, and you should go. just dont expect an hour and a half of fake problems songs.
i dont know kiss kiss that well, but they were ridiculously tight. drummer was sick. my only complaint about them was that they seemed to make their songs complicated for the sake of being complicated sometimes, constantly changing tempo and whatnot. just seemed like you would get into a part of a song and ten seconds later it would be totally different. i guess i just didnt dig it so much cuz i dont listen to a lot of hipster indy rock stuff or whatever, but they played really well and i was definitely impressed.
