Fucking incredible performance...

yasmin the light
the birth and death of the day
a song for our fathers
your hand in mine
greet death
snow and lights
a poor man's memory
catastrophe and the cure
the only moment we were alone

I've seen them three times and always one of the best bands to see live. I am so glad there little break is over and I hope they come to Cleveland soon.

Amazing. I've been to over 100 different shows and I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was easily the best show I've ever seen. Just incredible musicians.

Also thanks to the OP for posting the setlist, I was trying to sort it out the whole train ride home.

i was there too. great fuckin show. one of the best ive ever been to. listening and watchin the epicness of explosions in the sky as commercial planes fly through a partly cloudy sunset in central park is an amazing experience. so glad they played your hand in mine.

Wow, did this show start in the pouring rain? Summerstage shows usually start early.

Haha yeah it was a downpour through the first two opening bands and then the skies finally cleared up right before Explosions went on. I was completely soaked before I even got to Central Park.

That's a longer set than the SXSW Free set they played here at home in Austin. It would be awesome to see them in a setting like that.

They really are amazing. They draw huge crowd here of course (almost 15,000 during the hometown SXSW show and a recent sold-out show at Stubb's on July 4th), how big was the crowd in NYC?

I definitely don't think it was as big as 15,000, it was sold out of course, but I'm really bad at estimating crowds....I'd say maybe 4-5,000 at the most. The Central Park Summerstage area isn't that overwhelming.
