Alright, this girl I have been friends with since 8th grade and a guy I've been friends with since 9th/10th grade: Those are the characters.

They have been going out for a year now. He's a dick to her. Lately he's been smoking way too much pot and taking Oxycontins like M & M's. Now she's talking to me online wanting to break up with him (but she's worried he'll like go crazy, which is actually quite possible knowing this guy, seeing as when he was drunk once he ran out of the house with a knife and almost tried to kill himself). She wants to break up with him because he's a dick, but she's scared to do it. If I told her he did Oxycontin (she doesn't know he does) she would DEF. break up with him. And while I am friends with him, I feel that she should break up with him because I hate seeing guys lie to their girlfriends and shit.

Should I end it all and risk being beaten and hated by my friend by telling the girl that he lies to her a lot and that he still smokes weed (he told her he doesn't) and takes Oxy?

i think it depends on who you're closer with...this kid seems like he's fucking himself up royally, so maybe he needs a boot in the ass to straighten himself out...

Its a good thing she asked for a break, but if she ever comes back to him I think you should tell her. If he's such a fuck up I think you should watch out and take it slowly on him. My brother had a friend once that actually tried to kill his ex with a knife, then later on he tried to kill himself by overdosing. These people can move on even if it's hard for them, this guy is in college right now getting his degree, he's progressing slowly. Just support him if you can and get him to think the break was a good thing, just so he doesn't fuck everyone else up.

I just told her because even though they are pretty much done with, I think she has a right to know.

She said that he was caught with it once by his mom (he told the girl that he only sold it, never did it even though that's a lie considering he was snorting it last night when I was with him) and all she did was take it away and let him off.
