The Pine Club - http://www.thepineclub.net/ Louisville, Kentucky bands last album, “Last Frame” is up for free download.

Cartel “Chroma”
Pretty Girls Make Graves “The New Romance”
Spoon “Gimme Fiction”
The Firebird Band “The City At Night”- The band Chris Broach does full time. This album was unlike anything I ever would have expected (except for one song I heard) and is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something new.
Sunny Day Real Estate “LP2”

i recommend drinking a lot of starbucks coffee.. stupid midterms are coming and papers are due left and right and i can't keep my eyes open sometimes.

for listening purposes:
- we are scientists (with love and squalor)
- muse (absolution)
- glassjaw (everything you ever wanted to know about silence)
- eisley (laughing city ep)

i invite people to watch the village and think about it as a commentary on society, rather than a horror/thriller flick which it was wrongfully marketed as.

The Gin Blossoms- I forgot how chill their music is. They bring me back to the days were life was easy and I didn't have a care in the world.

Paramore- I was really into All We Know is Falling over the summer but it kinda died on me over the fall and into the winter. But their All We Know is Falling b-sides are bringing me back to why I loved this band so much.

The Honorary Title- If you listien to Snow day or Everything I once had you will fall in love with this band, no question about it.

Movies
Empire Records- Anyone esle wish they worked there?

mount eerie - i know that i recommend this band all the time, but i absolutely love them.
therefore i am - these are some friends of mine. they're releasing a 7" split with vanna (epitaph). it's limited to 500, so pick it up.
bloc party - i had heard these guys a while ago, but paid no attention to them. i just started listening to silent alarm; and my god, it's good.
tarkio - this is colin meloy's old band. kill rock stars just released a collection of their music.
the anthology of american folk music - a 6-disk set of old american folk songs. i highly recommend picking this up.
