I don't enjoy them, at all. I can't see the appeal. Viva La Vida had one or two catchy songs but otherwise, it sounds like I'm listening to the same song on repeat.

I like Coldplay. I don't get all wet over them, but I wouldn't ever say they "suck."

After they got popular to everybody and their mom and their grandma, it became cool not to like them anymore, but regarding hate trends: meh they really truly suck.
