The Little Mermaid

There is no distance between us now.
Summer will never come in this moment,
I swear I'll make time stop and we'll stay here forever.
We'll leap upon the hands of clocks and weigh them down.
We would rust the cogs and sleep on the reddish-brown.
We'll fix the pendulum and kiss without a sound,
If only I knew how.
We are too far gone,
Broken every time we yawn.
Won't waste a moment because at dawn,
She will be closer to God then I ever was.
Don't sleep, don't breathe,
Let us suffocate in each other's arms.
I am lost at sea,
Cloudburst and mist coated on my eyes.
An angel lifts herself above the waves,
Links melody with my cries.
Is it the sea or my tears streaming down my face?
The mermaid has made me her king,
I grasp her hand and we reign the sea.
The Atlantic refuses to be blue again,
The color soaked up in our pure hearts.
And so the violins swirl and all creatures dance,
The clocks have stopped ticking, the clocks have stopped their singing.
And it is silent for a moment,
And we listen and hear the drums in our chests start an infinity of tempo.
Upon each beat, the piano creates the most beautiful rhythm.
I kiss your salted lips and we sink to one million leagues beneath.
I can finally say that today is the day,
Today is the day I'll admit that I am happy.
Today is the day,
I can finally say that I am truly happy.
We will tie the rose around each other's necks as a charm,
Let us suffocate in each other's arms.
Break the clock and refuse to yawn,
There will never be another dawn.
The brilliance of the lights is too much,
but hell, I refuse to close my eyes.
The lights are beautiful, and so are you.
Rejuvenation

Again, I am saved.
With only a life ahead of me,
I am the ocean.
I am the world in this moment.
I am the wind above the one-hundred mile field of grass,
I breeze across your infant's face and let her know what it feels
To be happy for the first time.
And for the first time, my soul is dying to escape my throat.
Melody screams through this shell,
I am the rain once again.
I will collect in a cloud and be released upon the world,
So fast, I am falling onto the windshield of your car.
Brushed away by the wipers, I meet my brothers on the pavement.
I am saved. The sun took me back into the sky.
I wait for my next coming down.
Maybe, I will be the drop running down the face
Of the woman you love while you kiss her in the storm.
Maybe, I am the hot spring giving you relief,
and you dip your toes in to check the heat.
Forever, I am saved.
Beautiful light, surround me again.
Nature, pull me in with you.
There are so little words to describe this,
And I'll save them for another time.
We speak too much,
Don't let life be our guide.
Let love be our guide.
We are not humans,
We are so much more if we want to be.
