I'll be picking up the Arctic Monkeys album. I don't think they're the greatest thing to come from the Brit music scene in the last few years (that would be Muse, Ash, and Easyworld), but it's a very solid release and one I see myself listening to regularly.

i beg to differ, i was over in the UK just when the arctic monkey hype began (just around the new year) and they are like Gods now. they are close to like Oasis status overthere... most likely they will become the next libertines and die off but this record is simple yet effective, i listen to it at least once a day. the tracks are just catchy, and they are rockin. might not be for this scene of people i agree but its a good buy with not too much comming out.....

Also First Descent comes out on dvd (snowboarding doc.) it is real tight i recommend it

I agree with both of you. I listened to it once and wasn't too into it, but I can definately see it growing on me. I like to buy a lot of CDs(an AVERAGE of 3 or 4 per week) and usually I will come back to ones I was unsure about buying and end up really enjoy them. It is a good feeling.

The Kid Dynamite DVD is incredibly well-put together. Most definitely worth it to buy if you're a fan, maybe even recommended if you're not but like melodic hardcore.
Folly's album is pretty cool, especially the song that sounds like Park. Yeah, you read right. Also, it's an improvement from the last one.
The Ever We Fall album is pretty good.
I've always thought the Loved Ones is a really average band and that album doesn't change my opinion much. Decently catchy stuff, but I don't know, it doesn't really get under my skin at all.
I don't buy compilations, but this year's volume of Take Action was constructed in a really neat way: an "absolutepunk.net" disc and a "punknews.org" disc. Seriously, look at the track listing.
