Okay, so my birthday is coming up soon, and I need cymbals desparatly. My hi-hats have cracks in the bottom and top, bottom is worse than the top. Its getting to the point where they're almost 11" hi-hats, not good. All of my cymbals are trashed except my ride. I've been looking on Guitar Center's website, and I've found some that I'm interested in. I'm not a beginner, I'd say I'm an intermediate drummer. But I don't want to buy A Customs or anything like that. I've looked at Zildjian ZHT's, and Meinl Classics. I'd like to save as much money as possible, so I've looked at the packages. They don't sell Meinl Classics in a package, but they sell the ZHT's in a package.

They don't ever have ANY Meinl's at my local music stores, so I don't know the sounds of the Classics.

I've actually gotten it down to this. I usually play anything from hard rock to metalcore, so I don't really need a ride. And if I need a ride, i can use my B8. So I chose the Zildjian ZHT Starter Cymbal 3-Pack (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Zildjian-ZHT-Starter-Cymbal-3-Pack-103578399-i1138779.gc). It has hats and a crash/ride, all I need is 16" crash.

This is what I've came up with for the Classics.
Hats (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Meinl-Classics-Medium-Soundwave-Hi-Hat-Cymbals-449966-i1321683.gc)
Crashes (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Meinl-Classics-Powerful-Crash-Cymbal-449958-i1321666.gc)

Any and all help is appriciated.

My advice... Save up and buy something a little better than the ZHT's. A Customs, Meinls, or whatever you have been looking at will cost more than the ZHT's, but they're definately worth the extra 100-150 or so dollars.

Quoted for truth. ZHT's, ZBT's and ZXT's just don't sound good.

Backed for extra truth.

It may be a pain to have to wait longer, but if you spend the extra cash, you won't be disappointed.
