i saw the highlights of the dunk contest and was very upset that nate robinson won, they act like no one under 6 feet tall has ever dunked before, i am only 5'7, two inches shorter than robinson (and im sure his wingspan probably ads another two inches) and can get rim and even dunked a tennis ball once, yes i know this is not a bball, but im getting back into shape and i am going to work to try to dunk a ball, it will be a victory for all us short white guys out there, has anyone out there ever dunked a ball before, other than on those nerf hoops that hang from your bedroom door

I could touch the rim when I was 5'10", played basketball every day and was in shape. Now I'm 6'0", haven't played in 2 years, and am not "in shape", so I dunno.

i dont like the whole jump over a chair/ball rack/person etc., they are jumping that high to dunk anyway, all you basically have to do is jump to dunk and open your legs

2. nate rob has a 48 inch vertical. Michael Jordan's was 42.


So hush about "being upset nate rob won." It IS a big deal for a guy of that size, and he didn't "just" dunk, he did some fucking insane things for being that short. Congrats on being 5'7'' and being able to grab rim - big deal, seriously.

I could touch rim in 9th grade - which was the last time I played competitive basketball. I was 5'9ish. I was also 180 pounds then.

Now I'm 6', 225 and I rarely play basketball. But I actually think I'm going to start playing again in my quest to lose weight and whip my ass into shape between now and June.

people love contraversy. Hell, it's the only reason Skip Bayless has a job. Of course there are going to be far less people defending the winner - this is the same concept we saw after the super bowl. Everyone was clammering about how Seattle got screwed for days. Still....do you really think AI deserved to win with those last 2 dunks? He missed a few himself, and they were pretty rehashed.
