mtv pisses me off

i hate how mtv will use songs from good bands in there shows, but never play theor videos

i cant count how many times i will hear afi's days of the phoenix in the background of some gay show, but i have never seen the video for it on mtv or mtv2.. then the other day i noticed in that battle of the sexes show, in one of the tournaments, ( i think they were building houses?) they use a clip from coheed and cambria's 33... and yes i am fully aware coheed and cambria has no videos, yet.. but even if they did i bet they wouldnt play it

mtv will never play videos by slayer or the new from autumn to ashes video unless its like 2 am in the morning on their 'extreme rock hour'

however, i once did catch a danzig video.. a rarity..

my point is.. mtv blows monkeys..

Why do you even watch MTV then?

Go to walmart and pick up the road rules v/a with TBS, Co+CA, Thrice, bunch of other kick ass bands.

You wanna see good videos, watch MuchMusic. They play TBS quite a bit.

Much Music has an "indie rock" show. It's like mixtape or something. They play some O.K. bands, a lot of canadian ones that I've never heard of.

oh man. those mtv people were at my mall one day when i was working and they bugged me so bad to sign up for it. i told them no.. but the assistant lady was like my boss told me she wants someone like you for the show.. and i was like no i have to go (cuz i had only a 15 min break) but still they shoved me in front of the camera for an interview and i just said "she made me sign up ...i didnt want to do this" so she just asked me a few questions and let me go

they played like 3 get up kids songs on clone high....i remember they played "worst idea" and "ten minutes" i also have a feeling the beginning song might be sung by the get up kids...but i am an idiot...who cares...

Has anyone seen the commercial on MuchMusic where they flat out make fun of MTV? It's hilarious, it pretty much sums up how I feel about MTV. MTV rarely plays videos, and when they do, it is almost always rap (it should really be called BET2). And also it's loaded down with commercials. MTV2 used be really good, now it pretty much sucks. It used to be non-stop videos, now they are getting more and more other crap on there as well.

one time, on Real World Chicago, they tried to use Stay Together for the Kids, in a situation that had nothing to do with divorce. Keri and kyle were fighting and they wanted to use the lyrics ,"If this is what he wants and its what she wants, then why is there so much pain." to make it more dramatic.

And I'd rather them play real world and sorority life instead of Justin Timberlake videos.

There's so many things to say about how bad about MTV has gotten. they put more and more pointless shows on every year. The thing that bugs me is fact that they call themselves MUSIC television and play nothing but comercials and dumb reality shows, then occasionally play a bad video. But u can't cry about it...we have Much Music..just watch that instead

mtv is always going to be a huge problem. its something everyone loves to hate. we have gone over this situation so many times before, just accept the fact that mtv is a money hungry company just like many, many more out there.
