I, too, will be at the first show in Portland.

Going for a fun time, essentially. Only band I care to see is Mudvayne, and I'm not super familiar with all of their stuff. I'll be sure to get as close to an accurate setlist as I can, though.

Yeah, I've been to a lot of venues, done quite a bit of traveling, but the Civic Center is still one of my favorite places to go. Not to mention its a much shorter drive than the majority of the other places I go to.

I'm going to try to get my tickets before hand...I've been putting this one off because I'm going to seven other shows this summer. I figured I could hold off on this one because its GA and I doubt we'll see a sell out until a couple day before the show, if at all.

I've got a friend going down to Portland this week, so I think he's going to pick them up at the box office while he's there. I'd like to avoid the service charges if possible, I've paid enough of those damn things this summer.

Static-X and Suicide Silence are reason enough for me to go. Hopefully I can still get tickets to the Reading show.

Mudvayne too, but the only album I like by them is L.D. 50. But it's in my top 5 albums ever.

Considering all the nu-metal bands on this tour, no it is not.

its supposed to be a nu metal tour with a couple of different types of metal bands to appeal to people, if you want a metal tour then go to mayhem this year.

Sure, I'll go to a tour that isn't the laughing stock of the metal community.

Well, I definitely realized this kind of show wasn't quite my cup of tea.

To be honest, I didn't have a very good time, nor did I think it was worth the $35 ticket price. Clearly the area didn't think so either, because at 5:30, a half hour before show time, there were under 500 people in the venue.

I'd say at its peak (Black Label Society), there were about 2000 there, but that may be stretching this. Bear in mind, this is in an arena that holds around 8,000.

They pushed the stage forward two sections to accommodate the horrible ticket sales, and it still looked empty. Quite embarrassing.

Hellzapoppin was cool, and fun, but not quite as good as one would expect. They did acts at the beginning of the show, after Suicide Silence, and before Mudvayne.

Bury Your Dead was not there. No explanation given, but they had merchandise throughout the building.

Suicide Silence genuinely hurt my ears, but I was expecting that. They have a lot of energy and they managed to entertain the crowd despite most people not knowing who they were.

Static-X stole the show energy wise. They brought a lot to the table. Lots of technical difficulties during their set, though. They opened with "Push it" and closed with "Cannibal". I don't know anything else, though.

I didn't enjoy Black Label Society at all, save seeing Zakk's guitars. It was fun to watch him play, but to be honest, the solos were overdone and the music was generic and drowned out. You couldn't hear his vocals at all the whole night.

Mudvayne was incredibly disappointing. The band sounded flat, Chad missed a ton of his vocals, and they had absolutely zero energy, with the exception of the bassist. I felt bad for him, he was giving his absolute all and the rest of the band just stood there. Chad spent half the night kneeling down, trying to hold his breath long enough to sing.

I don't recall the set list, but they opened with "Dull Boy", played Death Blooms somewhere in there, as well as Nothing to Gain, and closed with a string of "Not Falling", "Happy?" and "Dig". No encore, they played less than BLS.

Overall, a sloppy show, which is understandable given it being the first night. Hopefully everyone else has better luck.

i agree, this tour itself is an absolute mightmare.

35$ for a ticket and the band i wanted to see, bury your dead doesnt show up! WTF!

Suicide Silence were amazing like always, the one band on this tour that doesn't sound like every other band. they played 4 songs off their new album(all awesome) and 4 old favs.

All the other bands are generic new metal ******s that are a disgrace to real metal everywhere.

i went there threw down for suicide silence, as the metalheads watched in disbelief, and then left.
