Agreed...
Streetlight shouldn't touch this. Even though its mostly theirs.

I don't know
I think it will be great!
perhaps not as good as the original, but damn close
also, does this mean they can legally play the songs live now?

well tom wrote all the songs and came up with the original concept for catch 22, so all rights should belong to him unless Victory wants to be a bunch of cocks. however rewriting this album is completely ridiculous, play the songs live, and love them for what they are.

definately grabbing this
but i'd rather some new
material
i don't see what they could
of done differently without
buggering this up
I'm not upset at Streetlight for re-recording Keasbey Nights for the simple reason that the main writers from that album are in Streetlight now anyways. The 2 reasons I'm really pissed at Streetlight for doing this re-recording are that 1) this was supposed to have been released well over a year ago. 2) Streetlight, get off of your asses and make a new album! Are you doing this re-recording cuz you're just too lazy to write new material?

both bands are on Victory.... hahaha
how would it matter
it's their shit either way
both bands being on victory is my point, i could definetly see them trying to pull some legal bullshit with streetlight releasing catch 22 songs under their name.

Yo, cut them some slack buddy. They've been through a lot. Don't you remember they got robbed twice last year? So shut your yapper and leave them alone.
At any rate, I'm really excited to see how they re-did this. I love both bands and would be happy if this is even half as good as the original.

Yeah I know they were robbed twice last year but that happened in the second half of 2005 and this re-recording was originally planned for a late 2004/early 2005 release so what's their excuse for the entire first half of 2005. I'm not saying that I'm turning my back on them and won't be a fan anymore. I'm just saying that after this long period of time without any releases, I'd much rather see them come out with a CD of new material rather than a re-recording of an old CD.

As much as I'd prefer some new Streetlight, I'll still pick this up.
2 years too late.
Exactly. My friend actually has listened to it already and he told me that it's basically an embarrassment.

I hear ya. I had heard they were supposed to come out with a new CD sometime in '06. I guess if this came out more than a year late, we will only be hearing new material in another year from now. :(
