Sound the Alarm's (http://www.soundthealarmmusic.com) self-titled, pre-Geffen EP gets itself a review right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=116567). Check it out and offer your own opinions.

Ahhh...too much Sound the Alarm! I'll just wait for the Saves the Day one so that I don't get confused.

Well...perhaps it's...not available yet. Novel concept, eh?

Is somebody's opinion really worth being a sticky at the top of the news?

Please stop your bitching (this is a general request, not necessarily specifically to you) about stickying of reviews. It's been decided that reviewers will sticky their reviews (if they choose to) to help promote them. They will stay up for roughly 12-18 hours (depending on who's online) before being removed. Some reviewers decide not to, while others do it for every one. We're trying to be considerate if there's already 2-3 stickies (exclusives, etc), we're waiting until the others are removed so that we don't have more tha two stickies cluttering the top of the page.

These dudes are like 14 and I saw them on some tiny ass stage at Warped Tour cause my friend is into them. Now they're on Geffen?

The reviewers are all on equal footing. Some may be more popular amongst readers, but we're all on equal footing as far as review placement and that sort of thing goes.

If you mean, "Why do reviewers get stuff stickied and not regular members?" it's because we work for AP.net. We love the site enough to put in time and effort to make it better by letting our readers know how CDs are. While we reviewers are "more equal" than regular members, there's both a responsibility and a standard that goes along with it.

And it matters what our readers think, but this was a staff decision about stickying. It makes a huge difference in the number of hits a review receives.
