Hi guys! Haven't posted on here in a while because I kinda forgot about the site, but now I'm back. I just deleted all of my music (30 GB or so) because I realized I was listening to the same stuff over and over again. So now I'm looking for new stuff. I'm trying to be open to all genres, so recommend whatever you'd like. I'm into all sorts of different things and I'd like to find even more different types to listen to.

As far as my favorites though, I mostly like indie music (think Pitchfork kinda stuff, but not quite as pretentious.) I also like a lot of folk, hip-hop, singer-songwriter, classic rock, heavy metal, etc. Some of my favorite bands are:

Arcade Fire, Brand New, Bright Eyes, Built to Spill, Elliott Smith, Grizzly Bear, the Hold Steady, Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Modest Mouse, Moss Icon, My Bloody Valentine, Neutral Milk Hotel, Nirvana, Pavement, Pixies, Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Stars, Sufjan Stevens, Sunny Day Real Estate, White Stripes, and Wilco.

...but, like I said, I'm down to try anything. That's just for some guidelines. Recommend away! All recommendations appreciated!

Thanks for all the recommendations! I actually like a lot of that stuff. Some of the albums I wouldn't have thought to get, though, so I'll be listening to some of those bands. Any more recommendations, anyone?
