I thought this movie was phenomenal. At first the ending felt too abrupt but as I thought more and more about it, it seemed perfectly fitting.

Thoughts?

Interpretations of the ending?

Definitely Slay. Fantastic writing... feels like real life. Nothing better than watching a realistic family crash and burn.

saw it like a month or two ago. brilliant movie. i wanted jeff daniels to get an award for this movie soooo bad

yeah, i went and watched it again. Jeff Daniels was incredible. deserved a nomination, but im not sure where they could have fit him in. At least i have the incredible writing to root for.

I've been wanting to see this since I first saw the trailer.

Is it out on DVD yet? If it is, I'm ordering it today.

excellent excellent movie. blows away any crap movie you would see at your local 16 screen cineplex. it's got everything. it's funny. it's accurate. it's real life. and jeff daniels has an incredible beard. what more could you ask for?

oh, the beard! it was gorgeous!

Exactly dude. My parents are the kind who've been on the brink for the past couple years, and kinda just deal with it now. I saw so many accurate reflections of their behavior in the actions of these characters, I was laughing out loud at several parts... parents can be so childish. Jeff Daniels was definitely outstanding, but how about those kids? Those kids can act!

Exactly dude. My parents are the kind who've been on the brink for the past couple years, and kinda just deal with it now. I saw so many accurate reflections of their behavior in the actions of these characters, I was laughing out loud at several parts... parents can be so childish. Jeff Daniels was definitely outstanding, but how about those kids? Those kids can act!
Someone finally mentions the kids! Owen Kline and Jesse Eisenberg did fantastic jobs! Jesse stood out to me the most out of everyone. Everyone keeps focusing on Jeff Daniels, who had a great performance too, but I feel like hardly anyone ever recognizes the rest of the cast.

Seriously, I cannot even imagine that Jesse Eisenberg is a normal kid in real life
